I wouldn't trust a religious view on science if they claimed that the sun would rise in the east. There are simply too many screwups.

I'll assume this has some to do with the Creation vs Evolution debate. The problem with combining the two is Creation is based on faith, while Evolution is based on scientific measurements. The only way to explain faith is to say trust me and believe, while science continually tests and corrects itself, and although it may take many years and many tries, scientists try to explain or understand the why instead of accepting the why. To argue faith is to challenge someone beliefs, and many people don't like to be challenged in that aspect. So, although I do not know much on the specifics of Christian science, I would prefer the church did not teach science.

Since when was it the church's duty to teach science? I realize that many churches attempt to teach science using creation seminars and the like. However, this is usually highly biased science. The CHURCH exsists to edify and mature believers and to bring others into the family of God. So I am not going to trust the church to teach science, instead I will go down to the local university.

By the way there are thousands and thousands of scientist who are also Christians who approach science from a unbiased position.

It is not a question of trusting the church in matters of science. It is a question of trusting any man in regards to issues of God and science. I trust only one source as the final authority on both matters.

No but you must agree scientists don't know everything there is to know about science. The subject is being revised all the time. I firmly believe Einstein's theory will be superseded someday and that new theory will be superseded in turn by a new one and so on ad infinitum.

Well, in spite of my intense belief in God, I don't put faith in churches to teach anything, so I'm probably not a good candidate for the poll. Some are well-intentioned, yet they still do not inspire my trust

Answer: NO

Based on history I wouldn't trust the church or any God group! History shows that those who belkieve in God are far more likely to kill those who think differently then non God nuts are!

As for them teaching science get real! They believe in an invisible man that has multiple personalities and a tendacy for senseless brutality!!!

Christian Science IS bias. It completely ignores many scientific facts and all sound theories that may take away from anything they hold dear.
