The Army is The Army. It has the most Infantry, those poor guys you see walking the streets of Baghdad.
The Marine Corp is America's shock troops. It is not even half the size of the Army, but it is our crack infantry.
The Marines are put into the most dangerous situations because of their specialized training and discipline. They usually take the highest casualties by percentage. The Army usually provides the most Killed in Action or KIA because they are the most numerous Infantry soldiers.
Both the Army and the Marines have a rich and powerful history. Both have their own traditions and mods of operations.
But the Marines started as part of the Navy. They provided the defenders and police on our ships. But the Marines are now an Elite Infantry as while. The Army is are main Infantry.
Note that the Marines are the most disciplined soldiers in comparison to the Army. That also means that the Army is easier to serve in than the Marine Corp.
All the services have Special Forces that are also highly trained and specialized. The Special Forces are made up of the best personal, the most dedicated, strong and capable.

The marines are the fighting branch of the Navy. Supposedly they are the first in, although with the Iraq war, the Army and Marines were fighting side by side on day 1. I know, I was there. The Marines are NOT all elite, they have support as well. My foster brother went into the Marines the same time I went into the Army. I was a Combat Medic in an infantry unit, he was a HMMWV mechanic.

no longer a lot. Ive considered both aspect. Marines have a tighter brotherhood than military. the academic is rather an same except rigidity tiers are higher than military. Dont trust the slogan "worlds most well known scuffling with rigidity" is a recruiting compain slogan. Marines are undesirable as$ warriors yet easily no longer the most well known of the international. Marines have low numbers. very last time i checked they dont even ruin three hundred,000 troops. military is large compared to marines. Pay abd benifits is an same dispite regular rumors. If u favor good brotherhood and much more advantageous custom thats nevertheless practiced in all ativities, marines is for u. If u favor some thing a lot less demanding on the concepts, then bypass military. Oh yeah...marine corps doesnt have docs or clergy. They use the military's as is the military does have their own docs and clergy.

Army is the force for the heavy work that is long standing battle. if you want to occupy a country than you need the armies numbers and support structure. if you want to move in fast and keep the battle on the go across 1 or more fronts then you will want to send in the marines. marines normaly work for fast attack from ground and air, since they have naval support to get them anywhere in the world in mass. Army will come in, build a camp, secure a region, and sustain a battle that can take weeks or months to finish, and transport everything they need in the process. of course marines and army fight side by side on plenty of occasions.

Also, the marines as a whole is all elite and mobile, while the army is bigger and more of our standing force (not including the army's elite mobile forces).
