In the gnostic gospels Jesus was not about salvation, he taught about enlightenment.

Why did the church desire to keep the feeble minded ignorant? Don't misunderstand, there are many wonderful intelligent Christians. They put the bible in a correct perspective and do not take it literally. I bet they hold on to their money as well. Benny Hinn will not see any of their checks.

How can you prove that the Bible was altered in the first place and that the Gnostic gospels--which came after the original ones--are true? There's absolutely no proof that the Bible was altered. And just because the Gnostic gospels have Jesus teaching about enlightenment rather than about salvation doesn't mean that He really did. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. "Enlightenment" didn't get Adam and Eve very far, did it?

As for Benny Hinn and other fools like him, just because someone stands up in a pulpit and says they're proclaiming God's Word doesn't mean they really are, but so few Christians actually spend time studying the Book they claim to believe that they aren't confronting people like Benny Hinn and others as they should. Don't confuse televangelists with real pastors or Christians in general. There's a huge difference between showmanship and discipleship.

The gnostic gospels are false. They claim that Jesus got married when he didn't and were written hundreds of years after Jesus ascended to heaven and when the true gospels were written.

The church is made up of sinners... people that makes mistakes and are trying to understand the message as best as they want to.
The bible ,however is correct and is truly the inspired word of GOD. How cool is it that we have a book of history and instruction that has been disected by millions of scholars and brainiacs ,only to realize that it is in fact accurate in all accounts.

The same thinking that the Rabbi's of the O.T. used to turn the people against Jesus from being the promised Messiah . They would lose their power over the people if He came.

The gnostic Gospels are corrupt texts and are readily recognized as such. No true Christian believes they were inspired. Are you saying that you would rather be enlightened than saved?
