Yom Kippur is considered by Jews to be the holiest and most solemn day of the year. Its central theme is atonement and reconciliation. Eating, drinking, bathing, and conjugal relations are prohibited. Fasting begins at sundown, and ends after nightfall the following day. Yom Kippur services begin with the prayer known as "Kol Nidrei", which must be recited before sunset. (Kol Nidrei, Aramaic for "all vows," is a public annulment of religious vows made by Jews during the preceding year. It only concerns unfilled vows made between a person and God, and does not cancel or nullify any vows made between people.)

nicely, the Bible does coach that you'll lose your salvation; notwithstanding it isn't via a failure to atone. in accordance to the Bible, guy won't be able to compensate for his own sins and nonetheless stay -- because the wages of sin is eternal lack of life and that is the in effortless words atonement which will be made. accordingly, Jesus Christ's Blood is our in effortless words Atonement. that still solutions your question as to why Christ died. So, now to not attempt to fantastic both your evaluations or clarify the Catholic doctrine, notwithstanding it truly is an excellent reality to assert that if we do not confess our sins and resign to Jesus Christ to make us righteous, then we are able to lose our salvation (1John a million:5-10). it really is likewise now to not say that we shouldn't make proper that which we are able to. The Bible obviously teaches we ought to continuously. yet, it really is for our own peace of ideas and makes our relationship with Jesus better. you spot, salvation isn't a advantages -- it truly is a present of grace by technique of religion -- and there is a distinction between obedience and the kind of "works" guy is known with. yet, do you imagine Jesus Christ will provide salvation to an unrepentant sinner? God forbid! that ought to commence this Sin difficulty all once extra and that could not what the Plan of Salvation delivers. God bless.

I suspect they confess to god as well, as the protestants should. by the way, CATHOLICS ARE CHRISTIANS. STOP WITH THE BIGOTRY! USE PROTESTANTS, NOT CHRISTIANS WHEN YOU MEAN PROTESTANTS.And many protestant religions also use confession instead of assumption they are forgiven like the pentecostals and southern baptists do. You can seek christ all you like but if you don't admit you sinned, you can't be forgiven yoursins, can you?

That's what Rosh Shoshana is for. It is a high holy day where Jews go to the synagogue and pray a lot. Sorry I don't know more, but look up Rosh Shoshana and that should help.
