i think that even if christianity is some way was true, i think that many of the things that people see as rationally suspect are really god's way of testing christians sympathy for others.
for example, if god to be real, i would imagine that he only stated that homosexuality was sinful not because it really displeased him in any way, but only because he wanted to test the character of christians and see how they would treat people who obviously were not in "chosen" sin. are there any christians that think along these lines?

What do you mean by "chosen" sin? Are you implying that gays are gay because they were born that way?
If God wiped out a whole city because of homosexuality, do you think he's going to change his mind about it, to say "Sorry, I guess I was wrong."?

Is that why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? Because he felt sorry for the men who wanted to have sexual intercourse with the angels that came to tell Lot that God was going to destroy those cities?
