so i asked this guy that i met a little while ago if he wanted to go to the sadie hawkins dance with me at my school. this was his response:
that would be fun! im still not sure if im going tho. so if you find another guy thats definitely going then i would understand if you asked him over me! im flattered tho!
am i naive or is this really confusing? the dance is not for another 2 weeks. so should i wait a week and see what his response is the monday before the dance?
what do you think he meant with his answer?

he is probably nervous by being asked by a girl as would any young guy. Just be patient and give him a day or two and ask again. If he comes up with some lame comment again like that then just find someone else cause there is always that possibility that he is waiting for another girl to ask

He sounds like a jerk. He has no intention of going with you. If he wanted to go he would have given you a big yes when you asked. Ask another guy and move on. Guys like him don't deserve girls like you.
