As with any substance you should be careful. You have no idea if you are allergic or may break out. First try some the size of a quarter on the back of your hand and make sure you don't have a reaction to it. The ingredients can vary with any Vit E oil. Anything from opening a Vit E tab and using it to others on the market. Some contain different oils in combination with the Vit E. For example, JASON Natural Cosmetics Vit E oil contains Vit E oil, Sunflower oil, Rice Bran oil and Avocado oil. Another is Natural Life Vit E oil that contains Soybean oil and Vit E oil. There are different strengths in these oils as well. As for making it at home, try finding a natural lotion recipe to use with Vit E. I have never tried to make this oil at home because it is so readily available on the market.

Vitamin E not only is good for skin and hair externally, it can be ingested for several other benifits as well. It is fantastic or vision, and works to prevent scarring from cuts and burns.
It is a natural occuring substance and cannot be "made." It can be bought in capsules or in straight form. I would reommend the capsules for portion control, especially when applied externally.A little really goes a long way. Iam not certain about the internal limit, but I do know it's safe and I have never heard of a Vitamin E overdose.
