Oh, I don't know.

If your Public Relations crew promotes a loving omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent superstar, it tends to make the crowds expect that there might be good things happening.

However, we get Tsunamis, Earthquakes, Terrorist Attacks, Meaningless Wars, AIDS, and Paris Hilton.

Somehow, it seems only justice that if I were in charge of a place and all that went wrong, and I knew it was going to go wrong, and I had the power to prevent it from going wrong, then in a court of law, I'd be found negligent.

Maybe the publicity isn't true. Maybe there is no such creature as has been claimed. But if there is, reparations are owed. If only we can find an attorney to take the case.

Where's Johnny Cochran when you need him?

Oh, that's right. God took him.

By being ALL knowing this God intentionally created souls that would do all of the evil crap we have seen in the history of the world!

Then to top it off this God has the power to do anything but yet will not lift one finger to help children that are abused by priests, or children that are starving!

The biggest way this God got a bad rap was in the bible! The brutality of this God make Hitler look like an absolute saint! Yet Hitler is called a monster and God is called loving. Get real THEY ARE BOTH EVIL! Fortunately the only one that was ever real is DEAD!!! That being Hitler!

very very few ever blamed god as he never existed but in the mind of the foolish . usually people get no credit for it goes to the imaginary god and the people are blamed for all that goes wrong . I just wish there existed the genius to turn around approx. four billion deluded believers that are bound for a hell on earth rather than coming down to earth and working for a better world for all . They are war like and counterproductive without someone else directing their path in the here and now rather than looking to death as if it really were life . thank goodness we have a judicial system in it's infancy rather than an imaginary
judge that doesn't exist after death rot and decay.Notice god had nothing to do with chemistry or physics but look at the wonderful things they brought forth.next time some ignorant fool pushes the evil god on you send him to this link or one similiar.

It just might have something to do with all the senseless killing in the Old Testament. And wouldn't you think that asking Abraham to sacrifice his son is a bit emotionally abusive? And isn't ordering someone to stone someone else to death indicative of torture? That is not deserving of a bad rap?

Well, if creationists are right, then god necessarily came before and thus created _everything_ in the universe.

And that includes evil.

P.S. When you argue that "people are evil, not God," you at the same time say that evil as an entity exists outside of god - or perhaps existed before god - if it is somehow "separate" from god. Are we to say that an omniscient (all-knowing) god, creator of all, created something "out of his control," that humans created evil without god's even imagining such a thing existed? No. If god was not already evil, he could not be omniscient. If humans are imperfect and evil, and god created humans, then god created evil.

I don't have a complete concordance anymore, but there is a passage in the bible that says God is blasphemed because his people sin and do not obey his commands. if the Christian lives a life that bears no fruit for God and is no better then the umbeliever, and is judgemental, then God bets the blame because his people do not live right.

Because everything (according to the legend) is created by Gd knowing what will happen. Omnipotence + Omniscience = responsible for it all. This includes Gods knowledge that he/she/it would be blamed. Think it through.

Many people need to blame someone or God. We have to own our own "stuff". We are responsible for our lives by our attitudes, actions, & beliefs. We all have consequences for our choices of actions, words (spoken or thought), & beliefs. If we don't like something, change about us what needs changed. God creates, but what we do with what It creates is our choices. Own it.

Cuz we are the ones to create this image... and we like making further stories. No role of God anywhere.
