Fantasies don't rise to the level of science being bent on disproving them.

If you belive that you were once ooze that is fine. You are a free willed agent able to make your own decisions. Why do some feel the need to disprove my "fantasy"? In the end someone will be right and someone will be wrong. I am totally OK with that.

If I'm wrong that's my life and my choice, or so I thought. If the science-onlies are right than good for them. I'm in a no lose situation AND with my "fantasy" I have something to hope for beyond being nothing forever.

===> PLUS, science proves that those who attend religious services regularly on average live 20% longer than those who do not. Gotta love science. <===

Hi Jett (below): He states that I should stop posting questions concerning evolution basically because I don't agree with the ooze-ape-man theory.

Jett, I fully support your decision as a free willed being. I also appreciate your input as I am a fairly logical person myself.

I only ask that if you don't agree with me, don't suggest that I don't question things that I don't agree with. Feel free to add your valued input or simply ignore the question. You are dead certain that God cannot exist. Who am I to stop you from this line of thought? No one... This does not make me hate you nor wish you ill. Stay smart...

Because xians are trying to get laws passed in my country that limit my rights and the rights of others based on their fairy tales. So I fight that tooth and nail.

Yes it is your life choice. Just please stop making questions trying to disprove evolution when you have no idea about it. Last I checked no one is persecuting you for believing in Christianity. You are bringing the persecution on yourself.

Science has nothing to do with disproving a belief system. Science observes evidence that can be observed in this life, although almost all scientists are Atheist or Agnostic (97%), they do not go on any sort of bias or express any disdain for any particular belief.

Believe what you want, but do not push it on others.

EDIT: Yes, you are not posting your opinion on evolution. We did not come from apes, I have no idea where you got that from. You don't even know the most basic principle of evolution, so isn't it a bit disrespectful to post topics containing blatently wrong information in them. And ooze, wow, you really need to take a biology class.... What is the point of this thread? No one is persecuting you but yourself...

Oh but you do have something to worry about. With over 10,000 gods available to you, which one is the right one?

In your argument you posed Pascal's Wager. It is a flawed concept and though you have every right to believe in your god, you should note that just because you believe in A god, doesn't mean you believe in the right one.

Yep.. your choice.

I don't think science is trying to prove religion is wrong, I think they are furthering their research. Science doesn't have to go out and recruit new members like a freaky cult.

Still using Pascals' wager. The problem with your argument is any religion can use it. Notice how you reject their Gods but are certain yours is the right one. When you understand why you reject all those other Gods you'll understand why We Atheists reject all Gods.

I think they don't want so much to prove that there is no God, but that they want theists to stop claiming there is God without proof. They don't need to prove that something isn't there. Their challenge is for theists to prove that something IS.
