I'm seeing this guy who just got out of a relationship and we have started dating. The other day, he told me that he wants to take it one day at a time, which I understand. The thing is, another guy asked me out today. Does one day at a time mean we are casually dating or we are a thing but he wants to take it slow?

If he's seeing other guys maybe you should start seeing another guy.

Yes, it does mean that it's open, but he may stop seeing you or won't ever take you serious if you start dating others. Many women think that's it's better to date around and keep options open, but it's actually closing you up because guys won't take you seriously if you date around. I would suggest leaving him before dating others. There's nothing wrong with dating around to find someone, but cut it off with one before moving to the next to avoid a guy that you like to not talk to you anymore because you're dating others.

I think it means he wants to take it slow. I don't think he means casually, but since he JUST got out of a relationship, you just might be a rebound.

It means he wants to take it slow and see where it goes. If you see other guys then that tells him you're not interested in just him, so where it would be going is nowhere, and he might just move on.

It sounds to me like you are free to do what you want. If he just wants a one day at a time thing, then he considers you a fling. Keep the relationship open with him,but don't give up to other opportunities. Don't give him your all and then end up hurt and alone, because you didn't see others too.

I think.....that this guy, who said 'just one day at a time', is really not that into you and quite possibly is waiting for something else, and doesn't want to get too serious with you yet.(I'm not trying to be rude....just honest) It's so hard when you meet someone....cause how do you really kow when to get serious, or not? I'd say.....go on the date......it's just a date. It's not like you are commited....just go to have a good time...hang out. That would be my advice.

i think it means he just wants to take things slow because hes still hurt or something, but maybe you should ask him yourself just in case... but all facts piont to that he wants to date u, but just wants to take it slow due to his last relationship
