My dear. Do you actually think that an abusive partner wants to break up? Of course not!! This person will continue to be abusive untill you get a backbone and realize that noone deserves to be abused!!

Also, this person is already "mad". What leads you to believe that anything you do will not ultimatly "make" him mad anyway? BTW-we all own our feelings and are completely responcible for them. Noone can "make" any other person feel any way.

You emotional bounderies are low and need shoring-up. Build your strength and just leave him. You owe and abusive person nothing.

Do you live together? If so, You walk out on him when he isn't looking, and you never look back. You go somewhere safe, and you hurt very much inside for even though you knew it had to end it is still the death of a dream. I honestly have been through this and it's not a good idea to break up with him in the traditional sense, or trying to get him to. You just need to leave in a way that will keep you safe.I don't know how extreme things are at this point, but they can get way bad way fast. It did for me, so don't risk it, you don't have to. You can go to a shelter if you have to, I've stayed in one myself one night. Just make sure you don't go back, you don't want to be a repeat customer there :). Don't tell him where you are, don't give him any way to get ahold of you.
If no, then I'd break up with him myself over the phone, be firm and don't give him a chance to argue about it. Don't take his calls after that. Be a wall, and make sure you have people with you, even at home, as much as possible at first. If he shows up you want back up, but don't open the door ever. Don't encourage any communication.
Be strong, you may be sad but you are sparing yourself far greater pain in the future. You are freeing yourself so that you can find real love. You are giving yourself a chance to be happy.

Eat foods that give you gas and fart in front of him as often as possible.

Stop having sex with him and never look pretty.

Don't shave your legs and nag him to death. Complain, complain, complain.

Don't ever stop talking.

Insist that you attend church every Sunday. Go without him. Or atleast claim that's where you are going early Sunday mornings.

Talk about the Bible as if there is no tomorrow.

Remind him of his sins and burp a lot.

Become a slob that drools.

Ask him for money constantly.

He's bound to be turned off by all of this, somewhere down the road and soon.

He SHOULD brerak up with you. If he doesn't, your breaking up with HIM will be less painful. Make sure you have a phone in your hand and your finger is poised to dial 911 in case he attacks you.
I would have a can of pepper spray within reach too.

Then, you will be FREE! And safe as a kitten.

Good Luck. That's what I did years ago with this one physically abusive creep. It worked like a charm.

He is OUT OF MY LIFE FOR GOOD.

Forget the gun, though he prolly deserves it, you don't need to go to jail, though you prolly get off on extreme emotional disturbance, still. Buy mace. Seriously, Go to your mom's or a friend's or even the police, stay with them. Leave him a Dear John letter. A guy hitting you is NOTHING to put up with. It's not your fault and you have to get out, he'll prolly come back to you saying how much he's sorry, but guys like that never change. Your best bet is just leaving and going somewhere for a while where people are always around or he can't find you.

Someone will get hurt and you don't want it to be you. Don't say anything to him! Drive to the police station and make out a report and then go get a restraining order put on him. Do NOT tip him off, you need police protection. If you need to call social services, they aren't just for child abuse.

You can't go on living like this, so take action. If you need a friend or family member to go with you to the station make sure they aren't close to the boyfriend so they won't stab you in the back.

Good Luck, sweetie...and don't blow off the rest of your happiness the guy can't be changed.

Forget about having him break up with you. Tell your parents or school counselor immediately. I don't care if it is verbal or physical abuse, you need to end this relationship immediately and protect yourself. This type of behavior will only escalate if you give them a minimal chance. Don't accept any negative behavior. Don't make excuses for them like he only did it because he was hurting.

You could always lie and tell him that you are seeing someone else or interested in someone else, but that would make him mad.

You could be honest and tell him that you don't like him being abusive and controlling and possessive and break up with him, but that would make him mad too, probably.

I really don't have any good advice on this one, except to tell you that if you are being abused verbally or physically then it needs to end now, before you suffer anymore harm to your mind or body!

Get your support group together your friends your family, and stay away from your abuser. Don't let him keep doing it.

if your living with him, move back in with mom, or some other relative. Wait till he's away, like on a fishing trip or something, or even to work.....
get all your crap and RUN, get a restraining order on him, and avoid the places you KNOW he will be.

get out of there ASAP.

I been there, done that, and I was 2000 miles away from family, and 9 states away from my "home state".....

get the cops involved, as well as any eye witnesses to your abuse, which can be something as simple as verbal abuse.....
