Allah is the arabic word for GOD. Alot of people misinterpret it and take it as Allah is some completely different god that muslims worship but the word Allah simply means god. If you were in the middle east you would refer to god as allah, if you were in america..you would say god...its the same thing.

About Allah
Allah (God) is only one. There is on equal in the world and out of the world but only Allah. He have not any partner. He is Almighty. He did not beget any one or no begotten. Surely Allah is strongest on every thing. He said in the holy Qur'an,
Sura Ikhlas (1 - 4 ayat):
(1) Say, He is Allah, (Who is) one (2). Allah, the Eternal Refuge. (3). He neither begets nor in born. (4). Nor there to Him any equivalent.
Allah created the sky, the world, the sun, moon, star, Daystar, fire, water, wind, oxygen, man, animal, tree in a word all things that are seen or unseen.

Allah means God in Arabic language, in muslims believe they don't translat the name of their God to any other languages.
Allah for muslims is the God who they believe in.

He endorses violence and the main prophet of Islam made great use of that fact. That is who allah is.
