There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......

(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

do u want the real meaning of love???
the way god defined love as???

here is the problem love is unatural for us it is human nature tot hink of ourselves first we naturaluy do what is in our best intrest, often without anyregard for how it affects others. hopefully, as we grow we become more give ing and less selfish but we have all know people who never grow up and comsider anyhting but their own wishes, desires, and cravings. self centered ness is the root of praticaly every problem bost personaly and globably.

real love is placing the needs of others before your own. it is makibng your problem, my problem. it is giviing others what they nedd, not what they deserve. although love can create intense feelings, love is not a feeling. it is achoice, an action, a way of being, a way of behaving, a commitment.

much of the world has no clue what real love is all about. songs that say ''i need you, i want you, i must have you'' are not love songs , but lust songs. real love focuses on how i can serve you not how you can serve me. it is the opposite of our selfish tendencies.

that is why we must learn to love. it is not easy. real love takes knowlege god's grace and lot of patience. we must remain ourselves. we must remain our selves to think and act in loving ways.

Your energy level is multiplied by 1000. Just the thought of the person you love makes you feel real good. You would do anything for him/her. Love is a great feeling you have for someone and when you get it in return it is even better.

I think love is an emotion that only comes with that special person for you. You can not fake it when they say I love you you can tell in the pit of your stomache if they do or not.

For me, even if my husband loses every material wealth he has, his looks, network of friends and relatives, basically everything he owns, I would still want to spend time with him. Love is something we feel at spiritual level for another person.

"What is love?" This mystiocal question goes back to ancient times without a conherent answer. Each person's experience of love is uniquely varied, and each person's understanding of love is different from the next. Love varies to one period to another along the length of a human life; a person can have many loves but each experience will be different form the next. Summing it up or pinning it down, are both impossible. Love is like a continually shattering mirror that always leaves behind images etched in people's hearts; but it itself remain a mystry forever. Many people give themselves over to this mystry but while the love can produce the most tender and delicate feelings in anyonew's soul, it alone can open a window in the hearts of very few. A simple analogy might be of that spring water which satisfies an extremely thirsty soul. In fact, love is a sort of deeply pleasing satisfaction. It defies explicit defination, Khalil Gibran gives us an extremely vivid description: "For even as love crowns you, so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, so shall he decend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth. That is to say that love can occupy the deepest places of your mind, shake the foundations of your life and force you to leave your native land. Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself, he threshes you to make you naked. He sifts you to free you from your husks. He grinds you to whiteness. He kneads you untill you are pliant; And then he assigns you to this sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's Sacred feast." Love makes you understand yourself, it helps you to become a soul, to become a part of life. Everybody has a different explanation and a different definition regarding love they experience. The majority of people can suddenly fall in love with a stranger, if you ask them what they see in their lover, sometimes they can't give you a clear answer. But the fact of their regard for each other is indisputable. REgardless the secret mystry of love, it is a process in your feelings and in your heart. Love, too, always manifests itself in the body. Love will appear repeatidly in your life. Love is a kind of performance of the self, a satisfaction of the self; love is a kind of need, or is a much-needed satisfaction. Love is a kind of tendency toward both secret transformation and public transition. No matter if you fall in love with an actual person, you can feel your body making various unexpected changes. You might also realize that changes are taking place in your thoughts as never before. If this kind of phenomenon appears in your life, you may presume you are in love, for these phenomena are a form of love in themselves, Regardless of whether these phenomena last a long time or a short time, whether they are painful or enjoyable, they constitute riches, which will inscribe themselves in your heart forever. In brief,as a living human being with a soul, it is impossible not to fall in love in the course of a lifetime. Love is like the sunshine; no matter how tightly you shut down your heart, the sun light will find a way to shine in to it, love's process is unstoppable. Therefore, my advice would be: Don't waste your precious time trying to define the meaning love. The best definition is already in your own heart and mind:-)
