I use DivX.
The missing parts of the file are considered "errors"
If you have VERY LITTLE downloaded, it will refuse to run at all.
The more you have, the better it will play.

most likely you cant because it gets different parts from different people and you may be downloading the end credits first and get the beginning last.

You can use VLC to watch it
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Just open movie file with vlc and if it readable then it will play.
You also can use Bitspirit to download torrent and it has a feature to preview movies we downloaded.
