Your statement can be taken in many ways. Young men dying in a war isn't what this country needs.
However, people doing their job well, and caring about other human beings is heroic, whether done during a war or back home where there are people suffering and in need.
For doing his job well and caring about his fellow marines, he is brave. I'm sorry he had to give his life that way. :(

I can only hope that should I ever find myself in such a dire situation I would show the same courage as Cpl Dunham did.

I think that this is the greatest scrafice that anyone can do for their fellow man, to give their life for others. I know that his family is proud of him and they are also very sad that he is gone. But his country will always be greatful to him.

it's a double question
do we need more brave people
willing to sacrifice all to protect us
of course
we should all be so selfless and brave
but should we sacrifice such people
for politics or convenience
of course not
