Ever heard of the band "Garbage", perhaps you and the lyricist for them should meet. Or maybe you were subliminally brainwashed by their music a long time ago. Or maybe you just find the rain relaxing and enchanting, because I know I do. If you are serious, I wouldn't say that rain making you happy was a bad thing, but if it is the only thing, I hope you can find other things in life that can bring you joy as well. Peace.

The paradoxical effect may be what is making you feel more comfortable when it rains. Sometimes it seems when it rains that the sky's and the future will be washed clean, or sometimes when it rains, it gives your inner depression an outside character to ponder on, personification, that is easier to identify than depression on a clear day.
The world can certainly feel, to an individual over-whelming under clear skies sometimes, so a cloud cover creates a roof and makes the world smaller and less active.
Obviously, the weather effects us in many ways, but everything you feel is also related to what is going on inside you.
The Paradoxical Effect is like being stimulated by a depressant chemical like alcohol when it makes one hyperactive.
Some people just react that way. Or like coffee that always makes me feel tired.

Maybe its because when it rains it gives the impression that the world is "crying"...or better said, is not very happy and so when you are happy when it rains it is a subconcious warmth in that the world is unhappy and so you can feel happy in their sadness....In a way, the world must wait when it rains...and when it waits you feel happy in that realization because when its sunny the world is moving without you and leaving you behind...its a way of saying they forgot about you ... Hope that makes sense...just a psychological analysis since the obvious answer that people will give wont be as insightful

Well I could be part of a natural subconscious effect that rain is the giver of life. everything needs water to live. So Perhaps it is because your mind is thinking that rain is giving life to the earth and that in turn makes you happy!! Or your a really strange depressing person... just kidding!

Move to Oregon.....you'll soon change your mind!!! Trust me! Stay just one winter in Oregon.....and rain will no longer make you happy!

You mean, you're only happy when the rain comes down? You know, I love it when the news is bad. Why does it feel so good to feel so sad?

Rain is to the outside world like a shower is to your body or a cry is to your soul.

Umm it sounds nice and relaxing when it hits the window and in puddles.

Puddles are also nice to squish around in.

Umm... there could be a spirit lifting rainbow afterwords.
