I have a weekly battle. I do SO WELL on my diet for about 4 days, then by day 5, I start getting SUPER hungry and totally ruin my diet.
My daily routine consists of a calorie diary and I make sure I don't eat more than 1500 calories per day. Then (about once a week) there is a test of my food vulnerability and I ALWAYS fail.
Like today, my office ordered PIZZA for lunch, so I left my Lean Cuisine in the freezer and had THREE slices of pizza. I was only supposed to have 2, but I cheated. Then, since I already cheated, I ended my fattening lunch with a TWIX!
If it's not the pizza today, it's something else. I'll go out to eat with friends and cheat. I'll swing by a fast food restaurant on the weekend.
I'll lose about two pounds when I start my good eating habits all over again, then after a week, I gain it all back b/c of my cheating.
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP.
PLEASE HELP ME.

This may sound a bit harsh but I know what I mean when I say it from experience.
You have to want it bad enough, either you defeat it or it defeats you, it's all a choice you make once you realize that you will do so much better!
Just remind yourself I screwed up but not next week keep trying don't stop you will get it!

It is so difficult! I know! But if your dieting I recommend you give yourself a cheat day once a week-this really helps because you are human and when you swear off "bad foods" it seems you crave them more! This will give you a day to look forward to-also portion control and choices help-like you can have a slice of pizza (cheese or veggie) dab the grease off with a napkin and have a small salad with it-then its not horrible-but save the twix for your cheat day! Also if you do eat bad for lunch-ensure you have a healthy low fat dinner- this way you wont feel like you wasted the whole day-
Maybe you should increase your calories to maybe 1800 daily (your probably hungry!)
But I think a cheat day would work for you!
**oh and for fast food-there are smart choices you can make there--no french fries but McDonalds hamburger is only like 7 grams of fat add a fruit n yogurt parfait with that and you got your fast food fix without all the extra calories from cheese and grease!

First of all, don't be so hard on yourself, dieting is tough!
Even if you cheat at lunch, don't give up and do the same at dinner, thinking "it doesn't matter since I already cheated". It actually does matter...alot!! Try to take it "one meal at a time". That's what I do, and it really helps.
You may want to start keeping a food diary. Then you can see when you are the most vunerable to over-eating. It also helps because you have to write it down, and admit you ate something you should'nt.
These are things that help me, I'm on the Atkins diet, and so far I have lost over 60 lbs. I hope it helps!

Ok, that food temptation again.
Maybe for a start you'll have to find just not a healthy food/diet that have the lowest calories but the one that you like. Try searching through diet recipes, or go to your favorite restaurants and ask them what healthy lo-cal items that they have and can please your appetite. Experiment! Find the menu combination that you like. Try it for few weeks. Maybe you only drop 1 pounds or even not drop any pounds but at least you're avoided from those dangerous yo yo dieting.
Second, maybe you need a friend to do this. Maybe your close friend(s) or sister that can accompany you in this diet or at least control you, go out with her and ask her to remind you if you've eating too much. A good friend will understand you.
Third, relax. Don't push yourself too far. Start with organize your healthy eating pattern and don't focus too much on the weight. Don't be too strict, entertain your mouth a little, that way you can avoid temptation to have big cravings on weekend, because you've done it.

I looked at your height and weight, sounds like your are ok and average.
Having pizza once a week isn't so bad, occasional treats are fine just don't make them everyday.
Otherwise eat healthy as you are already and enjoy life ;)

You just have to be hardheaded about it.
I stay on my diet by buying only healthy foods. If you don't buy it, you won't eat it. After doing that for a while it becomes routine and you no longer crave junk food.

You are half way there if you recognize this problem you have. The days that are the hardest for you to stick on the diet do something special that doesn't involve food. Get involved with the project get your mind busy. Bet it works for you...it does for me.
