Slightly long winded question so please bear with me.
right so, i've been going out with my current girlfriend for about fours months, nothing has gone wrong and she is perfect. she's one of the nicest people i've ever met, she's sweet, kind, helpful, has many of the same interests as me, and there is absolutely nothing taht i can think of that is wrong with her. the problem: i don't think i'm in love with her.
however i think i'm in love with a friend of hers, we have so much more in common and have a great time when ever she's around but there's no real reason for me to break up w/ my gf for her. it's probably just my mind frame (i'd rather not hurt her) but, i dont' know what to do
what do you think i should do? and if you think i should break up w/ my girlfriend how should i go about it without hurting her feeling?

doesn't sound like you're that serious.....find out how much you like her friend by going out with her. What the heck, date them boith for awhile. It'll blow up in your face in about 6 weeks but it'll be worth it! Then find a girl who doesn;t know either one... Have fun!

Read the book, The Five Love Languages, I think there is one for teens, if you are that age. Anyway, I read it, made my relationship a thousand times better.
Second, love is not some misterious wave of feelings that overwhelms and takes over your mind and body. True lasting love is a decision. We make a decision to love someone regardless of anything else. This is true for the simple fact that in a marriage, dirty dishes, bathrooms, crying kids, spilled juice, and so on, is not really very romantic, it is quite normal, but quite unromantic. But we love non the less. I say all this to emphasize that if you do not "feel" in love this may in fact not be the right person, but maybe you do not understand exactly what love is and should probably tell her that and take some time to understand what love really is. You deserve that and so does she....

I'd rather you talk to me and tell me the truth so I don't get hurt later on when I find out you didn't really love me. But will you regret this? sounds like she's a nice girl, do you only want the friend cause the grass is always greener? And when you do go out with the friend, you realise the first chick was better.

most likely if you feel that your girlfriend is SO perfect for you then she probably feels like you're even more to her... weird i know, but its just sorta how girls are. stop spending so much time w/ her friend and spend more time w/ her because she doesn't deserve to get hurt that bad! u'll realize that if you spend more time w/ her that yall are in love because from what you said in the begining about how great she was then yall seem kinda perfect. try as hard as u can to get over her friend because if you break up with her then there's no way a real friend of hers will go out with you after you've broken her friend's heart.

wow thats a sticky situation. i think that u should break up w/ her. just tell her that you're confused about ur relationship and need a break to think about things and play the field. if she really cares she'll understand if she didnt really like u as much she'll be a biotch about it and tell u to screw urself. but as it goes to try to get w/ her friend. thats going to be hard since they're friends and i dont know if her friend will be comfortable w/ being w/ u since u were w/ her friend. but if ur gf really cares for her friend she'll "let" her friend be happy and be w/ you. good luck. i hope everything works out the way u want it to.

Man, are you stuck in a bad spot! Okay, so...if there's any way you can see the friend of the girlfriend without the girlfriend knowing it, you might see what develops. Just keep the sex thing out of it until you know for sure, or you'll probably lose both of them!

only you know how you feel. but after 4 months it very normal to
have questions about your feelings it jus sound like you need
to be honest with her and let her know what going on. if you
are having second thoughs and want to be with someone else
then time to tell her this and move on.

you should tell your girlfriend the truth, that you have feelings for her friend. she will be upset but she'll get over eventually i don't know if you should explore anything with the friend yet if you do break up with your girlfriend.
