Astrologically speaking, the sign occupying the cusp of the 12th house of your natal (birth) chart, the retrograde planets, the north and south nodes, and other factors indicate past life karma and your present soul's mission.

In order to determine this you will need your birthday, month, year EXACT time of birth, country of birth, and city and state of birth.

It is also helpful to know, but may not be necessary, your county of birth in the event there are other places with the same name as the place you were born.

You can go www.astrodienst.com to calculate a free natal (birth) chart.

I believe in past lives and I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent person, so maybe everyone could tone down the sarcasm. It's no crazier than believing in Adam and Eve, which a lot of you do, so....

In answer to the question, I'm not sure you can ever know such a thing. Some people get very strong feelings, others have recurring dreams or deja vu, some use scrying. I, personally, believe that I used to be a native American long before Europeans discovered this continent, but I can never prove it or "know" it for a fact. Not in this life, anyway.

~Seven lives ago (I think), I started to really work on developing my memory. I may have started sooner, but I can only remember the last six. With each passing life, I remember more and more of the last. Three lives ago, that got me in trouble. Well, not really trouble - it's just that I spent the better part of that on in an assylum. I'm going to go through a few more, then become an eminent historian and get rich by just writing, in effect my biography. My present goal is no longer remembering past lives. I'm trying to engineer my next ones. More profit in that.

It is not so important where we have been but where we are going. If you are in a blazing fire you don't worry about how the fire started you worry about how to get out. Similarly this world is considered the blazing fire if material existence and one has to organize their life how to get out. We should stop this cycle of repeated Birth, death, old age, and disease. There are past life regression "specialists" but I can't vouch for their expertise. You can google it to find one in your area. However, you don't have a memory of your past lives because you are not supposed to. Dabbling into past lives goes against the natural order of the process and could have consequences. Tread lightly.

I have a few snatches of past life memories, none of which tell me my names in those lives... In one I am dying in a war while trying to negotiate to allow my enemies a safe line of retreat, in another I am a crone stirring my laundry in a huge iron kettle, in another I am a young boy snacking on grubs found under rotting logs and leaves in a jungle...

I did a past life regression under hypnosis but I didn't learn anything. I guess we will have to wait until we cross over again.

No one who believes in reincarnation thinks you can know the identity of your past lives, but many claim through deep meditation they have connected with parts of their past lives. Many Buddhists who meditate regularly for years experience such things.

There's usually clues in feelings of deja vu and dreams.
I still haven't figured out anything about myself now, let alone in previous lives, but that much I know.

I'm too busy trying to figure out who I am now to worry about who I might have been. Why live in the past?
