In which case, shouldn't God punish itself instead of us? Or at least let us off the hook? And why even give us free will in the first place if we're going to misuse it?

Interesting thought. I'm Atheist so I don't believe in the god (little g) of the Bible. You had four questions, my answers are 1. he should have, 2. yes, 3. yes, 4. To test humankind.

Free will is like a privilege, it's a test to see if a person is able to practice some self-control.. to choose between right or wrong. But don't forget, God is also All-Merciful. If you sin and repent sincerely while promising to never repeat the same mistake no one can't say God will never forgive you.

We are all responsible for our own actions whether good or bad. I don't see what's wrong with accountability.. after all, if someone came and robbed your house and he is put in jail for committing that crime, it's only fair! And if you did something good, let's say you donated some many for charity and God rewards you for that, isn't that fair too?

Yes God is All-Knowing, but He has also given us free will to decide what we want for ourselves! And yet there are people who say God isn't fair...

Very good point, so good in fact that it follows His divine plan. He did know that we would sin and the price of sin is death. Sin leads to death but instead of you paying this price with your own life He pays it for us through sacrificing Himself for all of man kinds sin for all of time through His earthly form Jesus.

Many people interpret the Bible as literally meaning God's son, Jesus. We'll as a parent, there is no way I would ever allow my child to sacrifice himself for something I would want to do it for him so that the child could live. So the only similarity in the word son is due to the fact that Jesus came from His Spirit, and is therefore His offspring not a seperate person, but a different form of the same person or uh spirit.

God let's us off the hook when we accept this sacrifice He provided through his "son" Jesus. Once you decide to do this you can not continue in the same sin allowed Him to pay for. The only thing He asks is that you walk in Jesus example, live your life submitted to the Spirit of God and not the appetites of the flesh.

I hope this helps.

To an all knowing God we couldn't have freewill. In order for us to have freewill it would mean we could make a choice that this God didn't know that we'd make. That is not possible if God is ALL knowing!

The only possible conclusion to an all knowing God is that he created some knowing exactly how they would turn out but did it anyway. I guess he had to have someone to torture! He's just funny that way.

Thank the pink moneky THERE IS NO GOD!!!

God does let us off the hook, we're the ones who wind up punishing ourselves, but eventually we come to terms with those deeds for which we believe we deserve to be punished and finally forgive ourselves.

In the end all is forgiven because god loves us all unconditionally.

Yeah honey. I sincerely think we should blame it on God. At least on Nature. It's better than directing your hate towards other humans or living creatures. Trust me - Nature is the enemy. The natural laws are evil - that is survival of the fittest. Hitler was immoral because he blamed people-he waS A Catholic - and Hitler also wanted to give Nature (evil) a helping hand by killing certian races off. I don/t really believe in the duality of good and evil as such though.

It's free will. Some will sin profusely and some only a little. But, we all sin everyday. God uses this to see who his people are that are really serious about him.

God created the angels to worship Him. He created us and gave us free will so that we could have a relationship with Him and it wouldn't be forced. God wants us to love Him, but He doesn't want to force us to. I know I wouldn't want someone to love me if it wasn't optional. What is special about that? God isn't willing that any should perish. He doesn't want anyone to go to hell. Hell was created for Satan and his angels. God loved us so much that he sent His son to die in our place so that we could spend eternity with Him. I know it's weird to think about Him knowing all this beforehand. But to put it simply...He loved us. We love Him because He FIRST loved us.

Free will means you have the power to do what is right or do what is wrong. You have only yourself to blame if your act wrongly.

would you want someone to love you because they were forced to? God wants us to love him for who He is to us. He did let us off the hook when He gave us a way out. Its our choice to accept it or not.
