For your Anti-Adware and Anti-Spyware needs...............

Pick and choose at least 2 anti-spywares from the list below and alternate scanning with them on a regular basis. New spywares are created literally hourly, so no single anti-spyware can really detect all malware. Have at least 2 on hand and alternate scanning with each every few days or so. All are free. All can remove as well as detect.

Yahoo! Toolbar with FREE Norton Spyware Scan:

Spybot Search and Destroy:

Ewido:

Unfortunately, many "paid for" anti-spyware products are in fact either of limited usefulness or downright scams. When in doubt, look at the list of rogue anti-spyware solutions listed here:

Use Spybot Search & Destroy or Adaware. Both are free downloads from downloads.com. I've found that Spybot tends to work better in that it'll find everything that can harm your computer. Or switch to Firefox, as mentioned earlier. You'll never have any other problems with spyware again.

AVG is a free anti virus. It was recommended to me from our computer engineer at my office...our company uses it and so do I at home. My son is also a compter technology specialist and highly recommends it. You can check it out at the link below.

You also might want to look for McAfee. I hav also used it in the past. Good luck!

Go to grisoft.com and download the free version. They also have a free antivirus program. I use both of them and have no problems. I run each program at least once a week.
