I'm a college student wanting to go to medical school and I'm starting to realize that I have to sacrifice alot if i want it. It's hard when you're friends always want to hang out - i feel bad about it because I'm a naturally social and friendly person (and knowing that they're having fun and i'm not) It's easier for me to be "party" than to be "studious". I made a decision that i had to stay home tonight and study (i'm getting a little behind) - was that the right decision?

Guess that depends on how long you play on answers. Sometimes we pick and choose our battles in life. I suppose it all depends on where you truly want to be years from now.

It's the right decision. Stick to your books and do your best so you can live your dream with no regrets. If you're the best at what you do, you'll stand out from the rest. You'll always have time to meet people later on. Always...

If I were you, I would stay home and study, grades are very important and you should know that. You can always party later on, its not like its the last party.

Sure it was. If you're going to be a doctor, you've gotta work your a-ss off, especially if you're getting behind. You will have opportunities to party with your friends, but your work will have to come first.

your friends may not always be around but you are always going to have to rely on your own abilities, so use them now to get through school and have a successful career.
