i mean i just want to know if i can. Because i like pop and sure i know i cant have it all the time but maybe on like just once a weektahts all. Am i allowed to, will it have side effects on my braces.

I ate anything I wanted with braces (except really sticky candy like taffy), just brush and floss well!!!

Yeah it's OK to have soda with braces, the main concern they usually have is more for chewy sugary things, basically anything that can snap off a bracket of bend a wire. Soda is OK, but my caution would be that since it's so sugary it can cause cavities, only it would have a worse effect then normal because braces are a lot more difficult to clean then teeth are by themselves.
There won't be side effects, but I would recommend that you take extra care cleaning your braces when you have anything sweet or chewy or both.

As much as I hate to say this, it really is not okay for you to drink pop when you have braces. The pop breaks down the glue that is holding the brackets on your teeth. If the brackets break off and you eat something, the wire may also break. The expense could be huge as you would have to get them redone. Although it has to be a pain not drinking pop, think about the gorgeous smile you will have when your braces come off.

I wouldn't recommend drinking soda ever. But if you do with braces, limit yourself and drink light colored ones. You don't want to stain your teeth... once the braces are off, you will notice discoloration.

you can, but remember it will stick to your teeth and you will get cavities if you don't brush that out. The pop will get into the crevices of your braces. If you really need to have the pop, I suggest you swish fluoride mouth wash in your mouth after wards.

I drank it all the time with braces, and nothing bad happened. Just to be safe, try to have one soda a day, and brush your teeth afterwards.

you can drink pop, it's not a problem.
i had braces for 6 years and i drank pop all the time.
it won't hurt, just make sure to brush your teeth!!

I've had braces & I don't remember anything about soda being bad for them. I say go for it. Just don't eat hard candy

Sure but my orthodontists wont let me drink dark pop unless i brush my teeth after wards. U should ask ur orthodontist or dentist.

My son has had braces for 3 months and his ortho said soda every once in a while was fine.
