We have poor, hungry people right here in the USA that could use help, too. I help a family in the Appalachian mountains and I would help more of them, if I could, before I would help someone in another country. The woman is a friend of mine and she does know how to grow vegetables and can them. She also knows how to sew clothes and she raises some yard chickens. But, she lives too far out to go to a job and her husband is very sick. I help her out with clothes (she has 3 kids) and with her utility bill (for heat) and items she can't produce on her land. We have home grown poverty, we don't need to import more.

People in Mexico are better off than most people in the world.
They are invading the U.S.. It has nothing to do with jobs, economy, etc..

No, as a matter of fact I have always wondered if their so poverty stricken why is there so many fat ones. I have been to Mexico several times and they have some porkers over there, how can that be if they are all so poor.
To llJennyll right above me, how about going to "poverty in USA" while your studying. And it will get worse with all the illegals draining our government. We do have plenty of poverty right here at home.
PS You want to see poverty, take a look at Africa, you don't see any well fed people there.

Bravo to you for helping that American family! We need to help our own countrymen and women FIRST and then we can look to see what else we can do for others in this world. Mexico needs to look after their own - they are NOT a poor country! Why should our tax dollars support THEIR poor, when they are NOT a poor country and should be looking after their OWN poor! As long as there are rich Mexicans in Mexico, we should NOT be looking after their poor people! Our government should not even be sending any financial aide to Mexico because it obviously doesn't get to the people it is meant for as it goes into the pockets of the already rich there and their corrupt government. Mexico does NOTHING to help discourage their people from going to the USA illegally, in fact, they encourage this! They should ALL be ashamed of themselves for stealing from us while taking advantage of our overly indulgent generosity to them! No, to answer your question, I have never seen a malnourished Mexican illegally in the USA. I am certain there are some in Mexico, same as we have our poor, hungry here in the USA. But, our poor should be OUR problem and their poor should be THEIR problem!

Not in the US. But there are many very poor people in Mexico. The real question is, why isn't anyone asking the oil-rich Mexican government what is it doing to take care of their own? The hyper-corrupt Mexican government supports illegal immigration to the US, as illegals turn around and inject (send) billion of dollars every year into the Mexican economy.

well i haven't seen sally struthers there yet begging for money . all i have seen is the fat one that got stuck in the drain trying to get here lol no i am sure there are some . but that is no excuse for the whole country of mexico to make demands of us and not to demand change from mexico to take care of their own people i don't want to fund mexico's corruption ! mexico is not a poor country !

For all you people that say in mexico,no one cares.we have hungy people right here in the usa.the rest of the world should come second when your own contrymen are starving.sure it would be great to help everyone else but we cant.no one asked the english 200 years ago to feed the world.no one asked the romans.

hate to say it but as an american i would rather have my tax dollars spent helping the poor malnutritioned american than the mexican who doesnt even have enough respect for my country and my countrymen to legally enter. I wont care for illegals who dont respect this country.

We Don't Have poverty the bumms you see in the streets are the Lazy who live off collecting botles, welfare checks, and food stamps.

o; but most likely they are that way because their lazy. America is the land of the welfare; if an Illegal can make it why not them.
We have plenty of programs here that help The American people; Established under The Goverment this people won't starve the best way to help them is to point them out to the welfare offices.
the Goverment of other Countries don't care about them so they don't help so they really do starve
