For 3 months I have heard people incorrectly define the "Gospel".
Doesn't anyone read the Bible anymore? Do we all just listen to Bubba Preachers and then regurgitate their vomit onto this chat group.

Why would the "world" care if Jesus rose from the grave?
What was the "good message" that the world would care about and could test immediately for its validity?
Clue, Jesus never said look at my body, my body is your quick fix ticket to Heaven. Jesus constantly asked you not to look at him, but to listen to his message.
(Jesus warned us that saying "Lord, Lord" would not give us forgiveness. He specifically told us not to worship him or consider him perfect. Only early church leaders, Paul and others, told us to worship Jesus, and to believe Jesus blood washed away our sins; past, present, and future sins. --- Jesus said no such thing)

Clue: Read of all Jesus' messages and instructions and then guess what he could have meant by "His good message".
Dear John 3:16 quoters: Clue: To believe in him means to believe in his good message. The message he spent his whole life telling.
Does Heaven ring a bell? What was the view of Heaven before Jesus came to Earth, was it possible? How to get there?
What did Jesus specifically say about what you need to do for God to forgive you?
*In the original text "gospel" actually means "good message"; Not "good news". (look it up)

Added: Dear Patrone, Jesus was referring to his message. Proof: A message can be the truth, a person had never and has never ever been defined as the truth.
Are you the truth? Of course not. But your message may be the truth.
A message is the way you learn something. A person is simply the one who brings the message.
Is your doctor your life. Of course not. But hs message to "stop smoking" is a way you can extend your life. Jesus message tells us the way to eternal life. (Read Jesus' messages from start to finish, and then you will understand why he said I am the way (my instructions are the way). Jesus never said look at me, he said listen to my sermon on the mount, listen to my message to forgive other people for their mistakes.

Dear Tasha: To know him. You mean to say "Lord, Lord". Heck the Devil knows him. Don't you think he meant to know him as the messenger of God. The Son of God. and Don't you think his message was important to him. To know him meant to know his message. "If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you." -- That is one of his strongest messages for entrance to Heaven;

"Sirius" has fallen into the "Pauline letters" reverse chicken trap. Paul and the other early church leaders have completely corrupted Jesus' message of how to get to Heaven. "If you hold a grudge God cannot forgive you" -- Jesus' words not mine, and certainly not Paul's.

Dear "undertheo" - Wow! you are new to this chat group. But, you have really helped me understand the ebb and flow of Christianity. Thank you for helping me realize the importance of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.
Let's never forget Jesus telling us we must forgive others in order to qualify as harmony-loving. A person who holds a grudge is simply not fit to enter Heaven; no matter what a Bubba preacher says in order to build and grow his empire.

Paul effectively preached the gospel with demonstrations of the power of God.
I am sure you are waiting for someone to tell you about the good news of Jehovah's kingdom, but the JW's have erred in this matter.
The 144,000, or the ruling class are not gentiles as you have been taught falsly, but it clearly states that they are 144k Jews of the tribes of Israel.
After that you see a great multitude taken from all nations who are before His throne day and night, whom the son doesn't light upon them.
The leaders of this people cause them to err, stop following man's wisdom and truly search the scriptures by the power of the Holy Spirit.

by and large i agree ,but there is something i recall about faith to whome much is given much is expected
as you would be aware we have both been given much ,
but look how long it took ,20 years ago i knew there was no god ,for the same reason many do ,ie why did that little kid have to die,
i now know the truth of death where is thy sting,
now i see jesus died to reveal the reality of being born again into spirit ,i know the god of love and light ,i know that to get to god come througfh his son ,his son is not the father, but back to the much being given
we had time to mature into our truth ,allow that others in time also get to see the truth
we can help speed it up by living our truth and hopefully those who have none can eat before we do ,for some of our brothers and sisters yet have oh so little faith ,i
i cant get on tearing the little some have away ,
its believing that is the hardest step,once people believe they get to ,thankfully want to read the book
i did some jail time and was able then for the first time to fully read the books
give the children thier milk till they ready for the meat ,to
look to the truths in time ,but till then hold on to the faith we have
to those to whom much has been given we show our faith by living our lives well and good , have faith live it well ,we all get the same pay at the end of the day

The good news is that through Jesus finished work on the cross we can have access to GOD again. By grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Where did Christ say not to have faith in him alone? I know where he said to have faith in Him, but whrre the opposite? have you acctually read a Bible?
