I have the wiring, and the amp, and the subs....I decided that I want to keep a stereo system in during the winter months. Is there a place in the firewall to lead wires through to the cab? IF not, where have you made a hole for the wires, and how did you do it? Thanks in advance for reading this and your input.

Ive owned 2 jeeps so listen up. the best way is to route the positive power wire from the battery to the firewall keeping it as high as possible. turn it towards the driver's side and as you pass the grill braces, (the two long rods going from the grill to the firewall) zip tie the wire there. there should either be a rubber plug or wire gasket of sorts near the steering column route the wire trough there. If not drill a hole just big enough for the little plastic piece in the power kit and route the wire though there. DO NOT RUN IT AGAINST BARE METAL! NOR UNDER THE CAR. you hopefully didn't buy a Rubicon to drive only on the street. if a rock were to tear the insulation and scratch the paint. well use your imagination it wont end well. keeping the power on the drivers side route it under the carpet. the little blue wire goes from the blue wire back of your CD deck to the amp. Thats what turns it on and off. What! no aftermarket deck! no problem. find out what wire on the back of your stock deck is the ignition wire and splice the blue wire in to it and run it to the amp where it say REM (remote) while you are back there conect the RCA wires if you are using the stock deck you will need to get a hi level adapter you can get one from best buy's, circuit city's, even wal-mart's car stereo department. keep the REM wire next to the large power wire and the RCA's on the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE CAR. if you dont you will hear the alternator though the sub's. the ground wire needs to be a solid conection pull up the carpet and sand off a half dollar size area on a flat piece of sheet metal of the car near where the amp will beput two short self tapping screws through the terminal in the middle of the sanded are. BE CARFUL not to put a screw through anythig like a gas tank or other wires on the other side check the area before you sand. i know it wasnt your question but to tune your new system its best to turn the amp all the way down turn the dek up till it starts to distort and then back off a little. now do the same with the amp. have fun and remember to use the right size power wire and get a 1 farad capasitor for every 1000 watts of max power. ( i do 1 every 700) i probably gave you more than you needed but i know what a headach it can be.

no don't run the power through the fuse box if you do so you will draw too much power through the fuse box's power wire and you will latterly melt the plastic coding on the wire and cause a fire, you use 6 Gage wire at the least to handle the load other wise the wire will over heat, not to mention you run the potential to Frye your electronics that are run through the fuse box it's self

well to save time and mistakes in my car i just ran the wires through the engine compartment and than got a piece of steel tubing From Lowe's and secured it along side the body lip under the car than up through a drain hole on the under carriage of the car into the trunk, the most effective way so when you go to sell it you don't have all the holes and **** there, and you don't have to tare you all the carpet to get it in. it works! 3 years w/ 2 rockfords stage 2 and a 1600 punch amp.

i have drilled holes threw firewalls before but they are there for a reason.. so what i would do is look on the top right or left corners under your hood and sometimes there will be little holes you could run them threw. if not try and pick a spot where you would be able to drill a hole with out damaging anything and where you can access if from inside your car. i had a system in my jeep and i drilled a hole on the top right corner of my hood (not the actual hood but underneath it) and i was able to pull it threw the door with a cloths hanger. then i pulled the carpeting up and drilled another hold and ran the wire under the carpet and down the length of my car into my trunk. very easy to do and looks professional. if you make it look good enough friends will start asking you wire their car. Best Of Luck

that's a lot less complicated to rigidity a tank on the line than a Caddy over the rocks. The Rubicon is a ways a ways more suitable constructive at heavy off roading jointly with the Rubicon path, which that's named after. in case you'll do the fairly puzzling off street, you'll favor the Rubicon. yet in case you only carry out a touch journeys through the woods and over some small stuff, the Sahara would artwork. (yet although, if fairly favor a good off street vehicle, ignore the jeep and bypass purchase an Argo.)

I have the 2006 Rubicon and the subwoofer is in the right armrest. I also just had a power inverter installed and a CB, but I didn't watch, so I can't tell you where the power lines go. However, I think they took the power from the fuze box because everything goes off when I turn off the ignition.
