I have five daughters and they were all SO different. My oldest daughter had no real interest in the bottle even being just a few months old. I had to almost force her to take it. She was completely off of it by the time she was 9 months old. My youngest daughter though is now 18 months old and still takes a bottle. She's not entirely hooked on it because she'll go days without one, but once in awhile I will give her one right before her afternoon nap.
As far as potty training...Once against my oldest was the quickest. She was 18 monsth old when we started, and we just started it messing around. Two months after her 2nd birthday she was compeltely potty trained. My twins that are 3 now have fully proven to me that you don't have to be to able to speak to be potty trained. They too are entirely potty trained. My 18 month old isn't NEAR ready, not even just messing around. ALl kids vary and do things only when they are ready.

My kids are 16 months apart in age. If it's true that boys mature slower than girls do, then it's like having twins for me. My son was born first, then my little girl. Anyway, my son was weaned from the bottle by age 9 months...he started walking at that age as well. My daughter was weaned from the bottle also at age 9 months, but didn't start walking until the day after her first birthday. My son and daugther potty trained at the same time, thank GOD, and it only took 6 weeks for them to get the hang of it! My son was age 4 1/2 and my daughter was 3 years old. She always wants to do what he's doing. So, she potty trained very early, in my opinion. I had it so easy, and I count my blessings. I've heard some major horror stories.

Well, I nursed all of mine.
The lst child by age 18 months was completely weaned and potty trained.
The 2nd child by age 16 months was weaned and potty trained by age 2.
The 3rd child by age 2 was weaned and 2.5 when potty trained.
I used real underwear and NEVER PULL-UPS. While pull-ups makes the clean-up easy on me ; it is too much like a diaper.
Once the boys actually had to feel the discomfort of the wetness and or poo. They quickly came to appreciate the value of stopping their play and going to the bathroom.
I was in a hurry to do everything with the first child. I took more time with subsequent children. I also had the time to do so.
Good Luck and don't give up!
Try magic water. Secretly carry some food coloring and when your child actually does #1 then drop a bit of the food color in the water. "Magically" changing its color.
Use a sticker book for doing #2. Whenever the child does this then give him/her a large sticker for their book.
Don't break weak and give any that haven't been earned.
Smaller stickers for attempts.

My oldest never took a bottle, so that I can't answer with an age equivalent, but she did take longer to potty-train that my youngest. My oldest was 2 years 4 months when she was day-time (in underwear) potty-trained, but still wore a pull-up at night, and 3 1/2 when she was fully night-time trained in underwear. She has a weaker bladder muscle, and had a lot of drama in her life at the time, which severely affected her ability to stay dry at night. (Close family member death) My youngest only took bottles when her daddy would feed her while I went to college at night, so she was weaned from those when she was about 9 months old. She stayed day-time dry in underwear when she was 2 years 8 months, and night-time dry by 2 years 10 months. With her, I feel that I let her determine the time to potty-train, not like with her older sister, who I trained on my time schedule (I needed her to go to preschool so I could work). Letting the younger one have the time to decide when she was ready to potty-train worked much better. My oldest also never like the pacifier, but loved her thumb, which she has finally given up (at age 6). The younger one loved her pacifier, which was disposed of by the time she was 17 months. Both were weaned off of breastfeeding at 13 months.

1st child: bottle broke even at night at 11 months old. I took the bottles completely out of site. She has been potty trined since she was 26 months, excluding the nighttime pull-up. She still wears a pull up at bedtime. She will be 3 in April.
2nd child: bottle broke at 10 months. We did the out of site, out of mind thing with her as well and it worked. She will be 2 in April and has been showing an interest in potty training so I've been taking her to pee when I need to go. She is far from potty trained right now though.

My oldest was weaned off the bottle at 15 months, off pacifier at 13 months, and was not full potty trained until she was 3 yrs old (due to a lot of changes and regressing). My youngest who is 17 months now never took a bottle and was weaned from the breast at 9 months and went straight to a sippy cup. I am still battling getting the pacifier away from her, but it is going to be a losing battle, since I am expecting my 3rd child May 5th.

My son was completely off the bottle at 14 months old. He just turned 2 in Sept. and he is completely potty trained during the day and at naptime, but still has to have a pull up at night time. Hopefully we are getting closer though, he stays completely dry about two nights a week.
