I am a member of the church of Christ. I would be happy to give Bible answers to your Bible questions.

If you would like, I can mail you a free instructional DVD or a free correspondence course or other information.

You can also watch the DVD on-line at the first link below. (There are also many hours of free video courses on this web site. You can watch them for free.)

You can also get the correspondence course or DVD by signing up at the second web-site below. (Go to the bottom of the web page.) This site also has several articles, especially encouraging for women. (Ignore the ad's on this site. The creator of this site uses a free service and the advertisements are placed by that service, not by the creator of the site, but the site does have some very good information.)

You can contact me by e-mail or at the following address:

As for when the church started:

You can see the beginning of the church (the church that Jesus promised to build - Matt. 16:18) in Acts 2.

In Acts 2, about 3000 all heard the same message, understood it the same way, believed it in the same way, and all obeyed it in the same way. They all became Christians and they were not members of any denomination. No denominations even existed then. They were Christians only - nothing more, nothing less, nothing else.

The Bible only makes Christians. Nothing else can be produced unless a man-made doctrine is added.

If we read and understand what those in Acts 2 were taught, believe what they believed, and obey what they obeyed, we will become only what they became - Christians.

Compare this to a game. Suppose baseball is not played any more and thousands of years go by, then someone who has never heard of the game finds a rule book. Suppose this person decids to study the rules to baseball, set up a field according to those rules, and play the game according to those rules, then he is not playing a new game. He is playing the same game invented thousands of years before.

The Bible is the "rule book" for the church. If we follow the Bible as our guide, without adding any man-made doctrine or deleting anything from it, then we will become Christians just like those in Acts 2 and we will be a member of the same church established then.

I hope this helps with your question! Please contact me if you desire to know more or you want to have more detail!

Thank you for your interest in the church and your desire to study!

Hi,
I am not quite sure what you are seeking, but if you are seeking to get in touch with the original church and get into the depth of scriotures and the teachings of the 1st century churches, I personally only found it in the Orthodox Churches, of which I am a member of...

To answer your question as to where and and when the first church started, the church fathers of the 1st centuries describe St Mark's home as the firt church, as it is the place that the Lord Christ had instituted the Sacrement of Communion, as well as it is the place that the act of Pentacost had taken place...and from that point, the disciples, apostles and evangeist had gone out into the world and spread the good news, passing on all the teachings and practices in its correct doctrine in all corners of the globe...and I personally have found that only the churches that are as old as that age itself have maintained such underlining similarities and do and teach exactly the same things that was passed down from generation to generation till today.

I have done quite a reasonable number of researches and was quite content with what I found in it...I am more than happy for you to get in touch with me and we can have all sorts of discussions and friendly positive arguments to answer any question that you may have, and By God's grace alone, you will find what you are looking for and we can learn from each other... Email me if you wish

I would be glad to study with you. If you are interested, please send me a note and I will get back with you ASAP. There are two names for church named in the New Testament that I can remember one is the Church of Christ the other is Church of GOD. I am sure that there are other names but I can not remember at this time. We will use the BIBLE to find the answers that we seek. Have a great evening!

(email me please)
when the church started is when Jesus died for our salvation.
if you believe on Him, repent, and are baptized then you will be saved.
