My friend who is Swiss doesn't like to call his girlfriends his girlfrineds because of labeling but then he'll call them his "Best friend" and I have a song by a european band and its called best friend and the girl in it is singing about her best friend and its like her boyfriend, so is it possible that when my friend calls someone his "Best friend" And its a girl that shes his girlfriend? Because he doesn't call my cousin who is like his best friend (Well you know... like normal best friend) he calls him "One of his closest friends" so do you think that the term "Best friend" really does mean boyfriend/girlfriend in europe? Well thanks for your answers.

Well, there is some confusion concerning the word "friend", specially in German, as well in translations...

THE girlfriend would be a romantic relationship (exclusive and sexual and all of that), but the "best friend" would mean the closest not-related and not-romantic friend, girl or boy.

Hope I can help you with this - I'm Swiss myself (m/33).
