Why should I fear something that was made up completely by people interested in controling others through fear?

Even if this God would exist I would not fear him but based on what is in the bible about this God I would HATE HIM!

Anyone that murders children for NO REASON I HATE!

I believe God does not want us to fear him.. I also believe that fear is the wrong word to use. God is the deity believed by monotheists to be the supreme reality. Love God, you will not find the need for fear. Most times when we cannot understand why for most things, it helps to sit on the roof and stare at the night sky. I do that whenever i feel a little lost or the need to feel something tangible and you cant help but feel his presence. I hope you will try this.

Fear God is the highest virtue of man.
Of course, it is not like the fear of a lion or of a tyrant.
This is the fear of the intelligent child who does not want to cause displeasure to his wise and loving father. He tries his best to learn the wise counsels of his father and do the things that bring good pleasure to his heart. Much reading and meditation of the sacred verses from the Holy Books is required for the undersatnding of this subtile subject.

I do not fear god, no matter what he does. You see along the steps from Christian to Atheist, the first thing you must do is not fear god.

I do not fear the wrath of god, not because I am a foolish enough too, but because I am brave enough too.

Swim against the tides, for the beauty of knowledge lies upstream.
