I want to break up with my boyfriend, but don't want to loose him as a friend. It is really obvious he really likes me and I don't want to hurt him. Any ideas?

tell him nicely and tell him nothing but the truth. guys usually accept that the girl doesnt want a relationship anymore if you could find a concrete reason to back you up so if you could please tell him in the face.i mean face him and tell him you no longer want this relationship and you want to end it.i hope that helps

Its gonna hurt him no matter what. Just be honest and gentle. Its hard to be friends right after a break up because you (they) still have feelings for you. Just tell him you hope that eventually you can be friends. Tell him you are sorry- that you dont mean to hurt him....etc. Just be yourself and be kind but honest.

You cannot have your cake and eat it too. I personally believe that you will not be able to be friends with him after the break-up. As long as you are okay with that, be true to yourself and let him go find someone who will want him the way he wants you.

just sit down and talk with him about ur relationship to see if u can fix anything. then if there is nothing to fix still just sit and talk with him and most of all have a good reason for breaking up with him

when you break up with him he will not be your friend, i dont mean for forever but it will definately take some time, be prepared for that. theres really no easy way around it. tell himthe truth the sooner the better

best of luck♥

be honest with him and tell him how you feel, and dont expect him to want to be your friend right away, he will need time to get over you.
