I've been on a bunch of stuff for stressed out. For a month now on 50 mg seraquel but lately I feel like nervous in public places, just don't want to be there, like get me out of here feeling. Eating dinner w/ my son, I wanted to just take my food to go. Why is this starting at 43? I was on celexa, lexapro, zoloft...didn't like any of them & caused weight gain so I am trying seraquel, & I can barley get up in the am. I hate this feeling, always have drug hang over.

not everything can be answered with meds. This fear can be overcome with behavior modification techniques without putting chemicals in your body that messes up your brain. Find a behavior modification specialist.

Its possible the anxiety your feeling in public places is a side effect of the seraquel, its not a drug I'm familiar with so I can't say for sure, but the timing is right for the fear of public places to have started when the medication would start to take effect.
Have you been getting counselling, or just drug therapy? If you've tried that many different medicationis and all of them either didn't help or made things worse, the problem probably isn't one that drugs can help. If you don't want counseling there are some other good ways to deal with stress you may not have considered:
Are you getting outside less then you used to? Not getting exposed to enough sunshine can cause depression, stress and anxiety. Even if that isn't the cause, getting out in the sun for a bit on each nich day can help you work through the problem.
Take the money your spending on drugs and try putting it into a massage every few weeks. Massage is great for getting rid of stress, and will improve the way your body feels, its hard not to be stressed and depressed when your all aches.
Start working out, either at home or at a gym. Like getting sunshine, the more physically active you are, the less stressed and depressed you'll be. Exercize has chemical as well as physical benefits, it increases the production of serotinin, the 'feel good' brain chemical. Put another way, medication is supposed to keep you from feeling down, exercise can help you feel up. Yoga is particularly good for that, but any exercise will help.
Try meditating, not the buddhist empty your mind and think of nothing meditation, but putting yourself in a mindset where you can look at what's going on in your mind with out being effected by it. There are probably several meditation groups in your area, that can give you more detailed advise, and most of them will have some one who will be glad to explain several techniques over the phone. Once you can see what's going on in your mind, yuo may be able to identify what's causing the problems your having.
There are three big causes of stress and depression: lifestyle changes, relationship changes, and emotional upset. If you can think back to when the problems started, and pick out which of those three was going on, at that point in time, you'll have a good start at figuring out what you need to get back on track.

You need to tell your DR. sounds to me like your medication is to high try a lower dose. That medication make you feel paranoia and that you think everyone is watching you and talking about you! Try lower does 50mg for first time use it very high! Hope this helps and you should see what side effects it has

This also happened to me and I never found a medication without side effects. What I did was gradually wean myself off of meds.I went to A GNC store and found a natural remedy that helped for stress. You need to address the reason for your stress and get rid of it,see a counselor. This may hurt but it could be early signs of menopause.Good luck to you!!

It's called agoraphobia. Instead of "I am trying Seraquel 50MG" say, "I will be changing physicians".

My wife had a bad experience years ago while having her last tube and ovary cut and tied. The only thing that has helped her is valium! with no side effects!

It does kinda sound like you are devolping agoraphobia...
all i can say is.. don't let it get to you!!!
and i know it is hard.. but if you let i get to you - and stay home.. it will be DAMN hard to get back out again.. just keep pushing yourself
Get help whilst it's not that bad.. you are MUCH more likely to get over it.
