I've had TMJ for years.......I eat anything I want...Was never told couldn't eat what you said. The only thing I am not allowed to have is Chewing gum....My jaws aren't alligned correctly......And when I sneeze, I have to hold down my top lip and not let my upper mouth open up....Sounds silly, but those were my instructions....And I love nuts!
I had to get mouth pieces made so I wouldnt hurt my teeth at night when I slept b/cause I grinded my teeth together.. TMJ is very painful.....I always thought I had a bad tooth.....Never did.
My dentist eventually grounded down a couple of my teeth which helped...don't need mouthpieces most of time, but husband says I snore more now...........Sorry dear!

7 years ago I've been involved in a car wreck and even since suffered with severe on and off facial and jaw pain. I've tried almost everything western medicine had to offer and had visited countless of specialist, had done ct scans, and therapies but to no avail. The doctors I have been to had persisted that there wasn't anything wrong with me and that almost drove me crazy as I was going through hell from this condition. According to all my symptoms I was diagnosed by a holistic doctor as having TMJ and he had recommended this book to me. After following the recommendation in the book for several weeks, it had changed my life. I got immediate relief after following the unique set of exercises in the book and after 2 weeks the jaw and face pain had completely gone. I only wish I would have ordered this program years ago. It would have saved me a lot of pain and anguish.

mine went away after a minor dental procedure and a bite plate for a short while.

Knowing where I was in my life, though, I have no doubt there was a stress factor.

EVERYONE HAS A TEMPORAL MANDIBULAR JOINT.....BUT ITS THE DISFUNCTION THAT IS CAUSING THE DISCOMFORT. THERE ARE MASSAGE THERAPISTS THAT DO WORK ON THAT! JUST BE AWARE THAT THEY WILL BE MASSAGING THE MUSCLES OF YOUR FACE AND IN YOUR MOUTH USING FINGER TIPS (WEARING GLOVES OF COURSE) DURING MASSAGE SCHOOL WE HAD TO DO SEVERAL CLIENTS WITH THIS ISSUE AND FOUND IT TO BE VERY EFFECTIVE FORM OF ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT
