what's the difference between astrology and astronomy? which verses in the Bible condemn these practices?

Astronomy is a science, astrology is superstition. The bible doesn't condemn astronomy but many religious leaders have claimed astronomy is false and that the sun revolves around the earth based on a literal interpretation of the bible.

I don't know of any bible verses condeming the scientific study of the heavenly bodies (astronomy).
