it is for a old camcorder with no USB outlets so i can get footage on the computer

You won't be able to do it that way. I am not aware of a cable like that. The best way to get your video unto your computer is to get a regular rca cable or whatever your camcorder uses and plug it into your computer's video card. If dont have those inputs on your computer then you can get a video for your computer ad install it and that will work and is basically the best way to do it.

USB is data transfer, where a headphone jack would be for audio only. These are two different things. If you have an old camcorder, you will need to buy a video capture device to connect to your computer.
