The first steps to turning your life around is to finding some sort of stability. Is your car financed or did you just buy a cheap one in cash? If you're not making payments, get rid of it and buy a cheap but dependable car from a dealer. By dependable I mean either Toyota or Nissan.

As far as unemployment goes, you need to find out what skills you bring the table and then market yourself to employers that are in need of those skills. If you can't think of any skills you have or they're not desired in the area you live in, think about going to college. Even a two-year degree can increase your chances of getting a job and the financial aid from the government would also provide much-needed support since they do factor in living expenses into your budget for school.

On the family situation, I would try to think about it as little as possible. Immerse yourself with your friends. If you don't have a lot of friends, then try to meet some new people. However, I have a very passive (if any) relationship with my parents, and it doesn't bother me a bit, so I may not be the best person to answer this part.

The easiest way to getting rid of depression is by removing the source of it. Find a new job, or go to college to get trained in a field/career, get a reliable car, and work on being able to afford enough that you can live on your own. Never rely on anyone else, family, friends, boyfriend, etc. for your living situation. Try to become financially independent and then keep it that way. Good luck!

first of all you should not of had to move out of your boyfriends house, could he not make the payments until you found another job. as for your family well if grandma is not living in that room then i don't see any reason why you can not as long as you are really trying to find a job. If you are depressed that badly, call up the crisis line and talk with them, they can get you hooked up to a therapist that proably will not cost you anything, and they have people that will help you find a job, and a place to live, so try not to feel too bad, cause there is light at the tunnel , even though right now you don't think so . There is help out there, and they will help you with these things, and i would lose the bf, if he had you move out cause you lost your job. You do have a meaning to your life to, and don't ever forget that. right now it seems like it has all gone down hill, but it hasn't and you can be back up there in no time, and show everyone that you can really do it , with or without their help, cause there are people that are trained to help you and they will. so get that self esteem of yours back, and go out and show them all, and get in touch with a therapist, and get something going. even call the crisis line over this long weekend if you are feeling that low, it is better then nothing , and it will help keep your mind on what you really need to do.

First off, your family isnt rejecting you. They want you to become an adult and learn on your own how to be responsible. Once you turn 18 its up to you now.

Finding another job isnt as hard as you think. You might try going back to school, college is the best way to turn your life around. I worked crappy jobs from the time I turned 16, and drove a "Lemon" for years, before I decided to go to college.

Its scary at first, but once you walk in the door you will find there are many people there that will be more than happy to help you succeed.

If your worried about money, you are in the perfect position to apply for federal grants and state grants, that you will NOT have to pay back, as long as you keep at least an overall C average, which is a lot easier than you would think.

Keep your head up, think about all the dreams you had for your future, when you were a child, and work your bum off to reach your goals. No one, but you, can make your dreams come true.

Good things come to people who work hard and do good for others. Its true! And don't blame others for your despair, your the only one in control of your life. Best wishes!!

First of all take a deep breath and congratulations on being such a strong person to have dealt with all these issues. But, you must not give into depression, it will be deteriorating to your mental health as well as you physical health. If you are out of a job, try your best to find another, it may take time but I am sure you will find a job soon. Also make your self work out a couple of times throughout the week, this will increase the endorphins in your system. If you give into depression, it was cause you to be lathorgic and it will be destructive. Be happy and be around supportive people, make friends and try to ask people for help once in while. We are all humans and inherently we need others to survive. If you are around people who are not positive then stop being around them. Everyone faces hardships in life, I have seen my fair share and so have billions of different people. I wish you good luck on your job hunt and life in general. Remember to stay positive, because it does not cost a thing and if you are doing the best you can then it will pay out in the end.

I know I can't give you much advice, but I can tell you, you are not alone. I have been depressed and stressed beyond belief for the past few months. I am a new mom and had to take on two jobs (not to mention keep up with two dogs, a house, etc.). Plus I just had a cancer biopsy (that did come back clean, thank God) but the surgery has hindered my performance at work and home. My husband doesn't help much and has no problem complaining when the laundry isn't done.

I'm sorry you are feeling sad, but just try to keep your chin up. At least you are alive and healthy, so start with that. That is what I try to tell myself everyday. Good luck.

You need to get a job.

No offense. But you're only digging yourself into more depression every minute you waste on here, asking for sympathy.

This situation happens to at least 80% of Americans at one point or another.

But you need to pull yourself up by the bootstraps, and find a job.

And not just any job. Find a job you might like. There are many jobs out there that pay excellent, and dont require any degree...

Like Banks. A lot of banks will pay your tuition, and the hours are good (M-F, 9a-5p) (No weekends, awesome!) And they start paying anywhere from $10/hr and up. And you get benefits.

Find some special "certification courses" at your local community college, and browse them... maybe a job idea will spark up, and you can get into the class.

For instance... Im taking an EMS Dispatcher course in Riverside, CA this semester. I will immediately get hired, and start out at $3800/month.

Once you get a job, and some of the financial stress is off of you, things will look up.

Manage your money and time wisely.

I went through the same thing. I was unemployed for a while because I coundn't find another job because like you said, it was hard to find a job. but one day I opened the yellow pages and called everybody one by one, and I found a job doing that. so try that and see what you can do. I don't know what kind of bills you have, but I owe about 8000.00 dollars on my visa card and the other basic bills. I'm not very happy at this new job but at least I'm making some money. I'm looking for a better job right now before I quit this one.
look for any job right now just to get you by, and then you can look for a better job. the best thing to do is get a job with beneffits and a pention plan after 20 years. this way, you can retire in 20 years and still get paid and then find another job with another pention plan, and retire in another 20 years, this way you can retire in style. good luck

Back up and stop looking at the bad things. You had a place to turn to, you are not homeless. You had a job so I assume you are employable. Start there. Get a job. You are not in a hospital bed fighting for your life, suffering from Cancer or some other painful disease. You are not in a nursing home. I hope you are not in need of drug rehab. You are not in a jail cell. Maybe your parents are not rejecting you, but are timid on what to say to you if you are depressed. Find things that do offer meaning. Look for the positive. Go out and enjoy the simple beauty of life. Appreciate it. Good luck to you. "To Life."

First, you need to make an appointment to see a doctor to discuss your feelings of depression. Depression has been proven to be a clinical disease and sometimes has to be treated with medication and/or counseling. Second, make sure you are eating healthy foods and exercising (even if it's just thirty minutes a day). Third, what do YOU want to do with your life. What are you good at; or what do you enjoy doing? Answer that question and do what it takes to get back in the work world so you can become a productive wage earner. You can do all of this... one step at a time. Good luck!

Take these one at a time. Start (continue?) job hunting tomorrow. Does grandma have needs to keep her in your room. Could you stay in an unused room at grandma's? Nurse the car through until you have the cash to do otherwise. Spend 20 minutes a day thinking about what you will do once things are better. Enjoy your future!
