My son had something like that once and it ended up being a virus. They called it hand, foot and mouth disease. It is NOT a disease, just a childhood virus. It may not be that. If it is watch for similar bumps on hands and feet.Either way it is prob. the beginning of some kind of virus.

There is a virus going around that has those signs just keep giving him fluids and watch for a fever because that goes along with the virus and if he is on a new medication that also can cause that like mouth thrush from the medication because of the yeast. But call your hospital call a nurse it's free advise hope this helps and good luck! God Bless. Remember watch for fevers!

Call your son's doctor's office and talk to the on call nurse or doctor. The best advice will come from them, not some strangers on the internet. If all else fails, go to the ER.

I think it's called "thrush mouth".
Do a search on that and see if it helps.
Antibiotics will cure it - call the PED.
But certainly take him to the doctor- or ER if he seems to be in pain.

Um, yeah...a doctor. Does he have a fever. I'd watch him like a hawk and take to ER if needed....but definately a walk in tomorrow at the latest.

could be an allergic reaction
could be a virus
could be and infection
could be impetigo

I'd advise you to get to a clinic or hospital with him. If he's having an allergic reaction (swelling) he could go into anaphylactic shock.... it's always best to check it out before it gets out of hand.

I am not a doctor, but it sounds like a food allergy to me. Did he eat anything unusual this evening, something he hasn't eaten before? I would search the internet for the symptoms, but I bet you that is what it is.
