~Is something biting him? Fleas, ticks, spiders, mosquitos all bite cats and drive them nuts.
~I don't want to scare you, but this seems like a seizure of some kind. Some birth defects, injurys, illnesses, and other disorders cause changes in the brain that cause strange behavior.
See a vet to be safe. When he's like this, leave him strictly alone. Don't fuss with him and hurt yourself.
Good luck to you. I hope your kitty is OK!

I have 6 cats at the moment. My oldest cat is pretty laid back and affectionite. Every blue moon she runs around clawing the carpet, as though it were pretending to be on a mouse hunt. I think it's pretty hilarious. But on the other hand, I can definetly tell she is playing and being frisky. You sure it might not be that scenario?

sounds like engziaty. Has ur schudule changed. He defanitely is trying to tell u something. Has any of his daily routens changed. This type of thing will change a cats or any animals behavior. Maybe something hurts. He may have eaten something and needs to go to the vet. Maybe ur cats is in heat too. But go to the vet before it get worse if it does.

I have a cat too- they can be very moody and unpredictable! Sometimes my cat will come up to me and rub my feet. At other times, like your cat, he will suddenly decide to attack me and run around the room growling like a cougar! Sometimes they will even find a corner to hide in and ignore you. If my cat gets too carried away, I will stand up, grab an air deorderizer, and spray it into the air and yell "no"! They hate the sound of air deoderizers and this will generally help to calm them down.

I would first see a vet...if he checks out medically okay your vet can still help you solve the problem if it's a mental thing. Does your cat have enough to do...is it bored....is it lonesome? Put some resolution on him for fleas/ticks/earmites. You can solve this problem you just have to go through the whole drill.

it could be the cold weather, my cat is obese and lathargic and always was and an indoor cat at that and during the winter it makes their blood run thinner and they get frisky. it is so weird! my fat cat will leap and bound like he weighs nothing at all!! he bites me even! i though for sure he had brain damage because he changed so fast and so randomly....and it ended up being nothing!

Call an exorcist! Your cat probably thinks he is Wink Martindale.
