Am I the only one seeing this? Where is the lady who is confident and optimistic and could be comfortable at a formal Embassy function or military ball? A lady who has the engaging mind of a writer, a love of romance and a passion for GOOD music and the arts and the sea- and does not judge others by their race, religion, age, politics, location or education but instead looks within? A lady who knows the intrinsic value of laughter and thinks that fitness is something that like friendship requires real attention and so they do not smoke, drink, take drugs or bar hop. There must be one lady like this in the world...or am I just dreaming?

I'm the perfect Officers wife, my husband is a retired Major USMC. Im retired military myself.
Their out there...finding one that is not fake, pretending she is everything you want, and one that actually is...that takes detective work...I have attended many military functions, balls etc...I find it fascinating to sit back and watch how people interact with one another. If they kept the booze hidden and maybe things would be better....Also when you find someone, make sure she can handle being alone and is smart enough to know that the check book is also used to pay bills and a female that is not a whiner when left alone for more than a day.....I could go on...Good luck in your search...Hey and FYI, the females that show up at the O club, run from those, they just want your benefits....

However, it seems that there may be an issue with the standardizations that you hold towards the opposite sex. Must she meet every solitary "mark", and/or do you believe that you are "giving in" if she only meets 99% of them? Is having a glass of Moet and Chandon (White Star of course) for a special occasion breaking the "rule" of drinking, or is it merely a celebratory toast in great taste?
Could it be that there is a lady of choice just around the corner that you could share your knowledge of the performing arts, who could grace your arm at the theatre and learn from your love of Debussy?
I would proffer that an internal analysis may be well due. Your "dream" may be only the reality of your own psyche if only you are willing to take a second glance. :)

Not bragging here but I'm most of the above. The only problem is that there are no men that fit said description, so wonderful, smart, funny, sweet, non-smoking, non-drinking, etc, etc ladies such as myself and a few good friends of mine are stuck at home, dateless, on a friday night. All guys are just looking for women who are easy, all the ones I've met, anyway....

There are plenty of ladies that are like that. You need to be the kind of person that you are looking for and you will attract the same kind. Be patient. God will send someone that is perfect for you. If you are tied up with Ms. Wrong, you will not be available for Ms. Right. You might want to check yourself out. You sound like you might be just a little bit snobbish.
