It is understandable if you have difficulty focusing-it sounds like you have been overextending yourself not only mentally but also physically (sleep, nutrition, exercise).
Hopefully, this pace is temporary; you can get some rest, get back to other interests, cut back on the caffeine, get some quiet, etc.
If this doesn't help, get a general physical from your primary MD, including lab work. I hope that this would eliminate any underlying physical cause.
Meds for ADD will screw you up, and should only be used when a DEFINITIVE diagnoses has been established. They tend to get prescribed more on a "my kid has ADD and needs drugs" basis than a thorough work-up.
It is the latest fad diagnosis, right up there with autism (dietary and allergy causes more often are there-not congenital).
Good luck. I think that your body may be telling you something about your lifestyle currently.

Well i would have to say it is called good ole relaxation, sit back and relax, watch a funny movie, get to bed earlier, eat better, go out with your friends and have some fun.
cause if you have been taking all of these exams, well that could be the whole problem, you have been pushing yourself really hard and you need to take some time for yourself, and get out, and get your mind clear, other wise yes it is going to be very hard to keep your mind on track when you are craming for a lot of exams. so try that , and if that don't work, well go talk to a professional about it, they may have some more ideas for you to try.

Well, I have the same type of problem- what I would suggest, do you're best to leave an extra ten minutes just to think about whatever. During your classes have a note attached to your had saying something like " think about that later- look a head, and get to work" i know it's silly, but it's better to stay on task turning exams then not to.

It could be releated to anxiety of depression. anxious and depressed people tend to zone out more than normal people do. See a psychiatrist or a psychologist about such problems. Also, try cutting back on the sources of stimulation in your life (TV, music, computer, hanging-out, etc.). That helped me--some!!!

Are you doing anything that YOU want to do lately? Maybe the spacing out is telling you that you need some "me" time.

I'd ask to take the exam alone in the library or something. otherwise, it could be guilt thats messing you up, you need to fix your social problems.
