Has anyone had an off & on relationship that lasted over several years. How did it work out in the long run? How do you know if it is right or if you should let it go?

Thanks in advance!

So, you like to recycle. You know why people recycle? Because it's safe.

Most likely you guys keep coming back to each other because it's comfortable, like an old recliner you don't want to get rid of.

Your best bet is to try to date around, and judge his reaction. If he's serious this time, you'll know by the way he reacts.

Remember, most guys think in these terms:

"Having a girl as a friend is like having $19 in the ATM machine. You can't take it out, and there isn't enough interest being gained daily to try to take it out tomorrow."

From experience, I would say no, they dont work. It is better to find one that is on not on and off. Because what happens between the ons can hurt.

I "dated" this girl for the first time in 7th grade, she broke up with me. I dated her again in 8th grade, maybe twice that year, again, she broke up with me. Dated again in 9th, and 10th grades, each time, she broke up with me. Then in 11th grade we dated again and.........I have been married to and with this wonderful woman for the last 24 years. I think I knew it was right since 7th grade, it took her a while to come around though.

off and on means no growth as otherwise it wouldnt go off. thats is insane.. and cruel .. either you two need to stipulate what u 2 will accept or how you feel or stop this torture.you need to COMMUNICATE what makes you happy and where do you see yourselves at what point are you at.
