I know it can be down with a mac, but what is needed for it to work on a pc?

I'm not an expert in this, but one way is to use the Firefox browser. Since Firefox is open source code (anyone can see the programming code), people can write nifty add-ons to do things the Firefox authors didn't think of. Several have written add-ons that will allow you to grab videos off of sites like YouTube. I use VideoDownloader. Once you've downloaded and installed Firefox (also the best browser, in my opinion), go to the add-ons page and search for VideoDownloader, or use the direct link provided below. The link will tell you how to install the add-on, as well as what sites you can download videos from. There are other more complicated ways, such as viewing the source code for the page to get the video's address, but once you have VideoDownloader installed, it's as easy as a couple of clicks, without having to hunt through source code! Just read the instructions at the top. All you need to do is put the youtube URL in that little box. Or if you have Firefox, you can download an extension (on the same page).

You need an FLV player to play the videos though:

I go to the internet temporary files
C/documentsand settings/user/local settings/
temporary internet files. then I copy and paste them out onto the desktop.

then I use the free FLV Player 1.3.3 to play them.
