CHILDHOOD LOST- A child sits alone watching family's play,wishing hers could be that way. Her family is living a lie, though just a child she refuses to cry. Her family cant know anythings wrong,she holds her chin high , she must stay strong.Only she knew of the demon that lived within, knew he would come again& again She must protect her sister at any cost, so its only her innocense lost. Tho the fear is real & her heart breaks,she knows this is the life she must face.At night she lays in bed afraid to sleep,afraid to move or to speak.She hears his footsteps come deep in the night, quickly preparing herself to fight.Whispers to her sister not to make a sound, she turns ready to stand her ground.Yet her struggles & cries never stopped what she went thru, her strength & pride only grew.In the end all was not lost, She had protected her sister even tho she had paid the cost.

Writing the last 2 lines of this helped me realize everything i went thru only SAVED my sister from the same fate..and THT was worth it all...I love my sister dearly.

Ive had 17 poems published and recieved 4 editors awards. But this poem is the most important to me. An No my stepdad was NEVER punished my mom divorced him after me being molested & abused from age 6 - 12 but she did not report it.

It is uncanny how many similarities there are between this poem & myself~~All the pain is real~unfortunately~I spared my younger siblings their twisted fate, as well. Just, don't forget you were a child yourself, unable to make healthy decisions~~
~Even though blaming the adults @ you does no good~~There should be forgiveness, some day ~I didn't say forgetedness~
~It is not helpful to your own needs to let anyone bully you or make insensitive comments re:...If they are strangers making jeers, it won't matter~~For example, I moved far away from home when I could (I'm not suggesting to do the same)~
~~It's just I would not accept that others @ me "wanted me to get over it" ~That made the wounds deeper ~
~But I had the nightmares reoccuring for years ~very real
~as if It were actually ongoing at the present ~~eerie stuff~
~~ REAL HORROR MOVIE ~ So, I pray that God will help to continue to heal you as he has & is re myself~
~~And remember ~What a brave little girl you were~~Don't let anyone ever try to convince you otherwise~~
~~My wish & dream is that someday I can finish school & help others like us!! ~~ And that more importantly your pain
becomes lessened~~ Asking for Jesus to guide you and heal you~Even though I am not worthy (none of us are)~He is the source of my strength~When the daymares were more then
~I could bear~~I asked for His security & help~Because when those awful things were actually taking place many years ago~~
~Thats what we needed was HELP~when relived currently~
It should not be faced alone~ Also,I know it to be factual that God gave us other people in this world to help us~~Counselors~Therapists~~Doctors~~So, I have always prayed And utilized the countless blessings of the many intelligent individuals out there trained in these areas!! ~~ I thank God for them ~for myself & for others~

~~and to never give up wanting to feel complete~~is the best hope I can give you, Besides my heartfelt sincerity.~

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go through this horrible time! I hope you put this man in jail!!!!!!!!!!! No one deserves what you had to endure.

Sorry to see you went through this horrible ordeal. I don't understand why your mom didn't know about it the first time or why you didn't tell her?
I taught my children at an early age that no one was allowed to touch them in that sort of manner; assure them not to be afraid by their lies because they will be put in jail.
You are a strong person; you come out victorious. God bless!

I was wondering if you went to church and just what you might be into. You see I too years ago let the devil have a field with me. He tried to convence me I was so bad I had done cause God to turn his face from me. When I tried to pray he would tell me I was praying to him now that God had left me. I remember throwing up in the toilet and I saw maggets as I heard him say you are so bad that maggets eat your insides. You see the bible tell us that satan comes to steal, kill and destroy but they forget the rest of the verse. But Christ came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Once the reality of Jesus birth, death and resurrection of it all on how there is truly power in Jesus blood. We are nothing without it. And satan has no power over it. Your trying to save your self and your sister just as I was with me and my family. But once Jesus blood you are able to comperhened and the more you fall before your knees to God Jahovah, repent and accept his forgiveness then all the lies satan tells you, truth will over come. Remember satan always tell you the opposite of truth. So thank him will he is on your case. He only confirms you and your sister will be fine. Don't let him work with your fears and remember we fight not against flesh and blood but of principalitiest of darkness. And wicknesses in high places. Fight spirit with spirit. But use the right spirit honey. And that is the good ole king James word of God (BIBLE) Eat it sleep with it wake up with it. Then satan will be scared of you. Ha, he already is he just don't want you to know it. Find a church that can help you grow in all this and rest that God loves you soooo much his sent his son Jesus just for you as well. And this 4ft 8 in little lady to say, me and Jesus been there, done that, bought that tee-shirt. God gets all the glory because our names are wriiten in the lambs book of life. I pray you and yours are too. PS. Tell this person wheather its you or someone else you speak of who hold this secret feelings. Its ok to tell this now and tell it until someone listens. She or he will feel better for it. The nightmares does go away. You never forget it fully but it does not run your life anymore. I could tell you stories that make your head crawl. But I survived. I garrenteed to some degree I know what you are trying to say without saying it. but life is worth living. Just choose to live. you'll learn to trust again. You see I too write songs and poems too but Jesus and my Heavenly Father is always the answer. The only answer, REALLY! John 15:16,17,18. Now give me something hard.
