The website has good points on what Love is.

I think the website has good information based on the normal veiws about love. The part I disagree with the most is the part about what real love is. In this section the author generaly claims that Real love is about growth and feelings of warm splendor. However there have been plenty of poems and songs to show that the opposite of this is true too. Sometimes a person may want to have these feelings and want to grow, but can't figure out how(does this mean that his/her love isn't real?) The beginning part is based on statistics of marriages failing. Marriage doesn't have to do anything with love, though. Marriage CAN BE a bi-product of love, but love can be a bi-product of marriage. If we are dealing with the actual issues of love we need to be also examine intimate relationships outside of marriage. Love is almost impossible to define, the Bible claims Love is patient, love is kind,
But sometimes I wonder how the author would've written it, if he had heard the sayings "love can be cruel." and "Love hurts. Love heals."

It states that love brings out the best in you. Sorry, but this IDEALIZATION and not true. Love CAN bring out the best in you at times, but it can also bring out the worst in you... think about it why do you think their are so many sitcoms where couples argue all the time, its because LOVE can bring out the defensive tendencies in people. REAL LOVE can be a joy, but it can also be a pain. Do stalkers stalk because they want to harm their ex's? Not always, many of them are actually quite sympathetic and simply seeking an emotion that they used to feel from a particular person, and sometimes they are wanting to make up for their past mistakes... Ever watched a crying sap of a sulker on a police video... How do we know if his tears are real or not? We just assume that they aren't because he's in jail, therefore he must be faking it, right? Give me a break! Some may be master manipulators with the water works, but some of them are genuinely concerned with their ex's well-being. Only God knows which is which.

Love is a joy! Love is a *****! If you are a realist you see it as it truly is, and don't fall into the either the glass is half full or its half empty bull-****. If your too much of an optimist, when you reach the top of the cup, you'll soon learn that you ideal veiw of what is over the edge wasn't as you had expected. And if your too much of a pessamist you'll drown in your sorrow, and it will be difficult to swim back out of it, but if you keep your head slightly out of water, you'll be just fine, because you'll see things as they really are. Be real in love, and understand that you can hurt the feelings of the one's you love, and that the ones who love you can hurt your feelings. I know its not our intentions, but I'm just keeping it real.

For example, if you knew your friend was stealing from a store, would you show him that you love him by:
A. Turning him to the police.
B. Telling his parents.
C. Or not saying anything about it to anyone.

If you want your friend to learn morality issues, and you want to show your friend that you care in this way, A and B would be the answer, but would he feel loved by the act? Probably not.
If you chose C, this is a way of you trying to show that your friend can trust you with secret information. He'll feel loved by you, but he won't learn that stealing is wrong, and thusly you may not have actually showed a loving act to him.

Love can be oh so confusing.

well it's pretty stupid for someone to talk about that crap like that because the first one i say kids need to have the infatuation thing or whatever to have real experience when they get hgher on that scale. Love isn't something you can describe it's just something that happens there is no stupid definitions like that

here is what i think of L*O*V*E:
you can never "fall in love"
when someone is attracted to someone, that feeling will only last for a period of time. (kinda like crushes in grade school...:)it is up to the couple themselves to stay friends and love eachother for their personality.
all good relationships have rocky points, but not constant arguements
