Static or fly away hair is dry and needs moisture. It needs conditioner, even if a light one. Or try a conditioning shampoo. If your hair is like that always, you're probably washing it too much or with a harsh shampoo. For a temporary fix, spray some StaticGuard on your hairbrush, wait a second, and then brush your hair. You may have to spray it again. Just don't do it too much or it will look oily.

Use a heavier conditioner. It will moisturize the hair. Static is the result of hair being too dry, and conditioner with fix that.

the static has to do with the moisture in the air. you have to use more conditioner. if it still stands up during the day, keep a bag of dryer sheets in your purse. rub it on your hair when it gets static. your hair and your purse will smell great!

It can be from not enough humidity in the air. What you can do to prevent this. Is put a boiling pot of water on the stove, and just let boil away. Do a couple of pots. You will start to notice a difference.
