THC in marijuana is rapidly absorbed by fatty tissues in various organs. Generally, traces (metabolites) of THC can be detected by standard urine testing methods several days after a smoking session. However, in chronic heavy users, traces can sometimes be detected for weeks after they have stopped using marijuana.
THC detectability in urine by standard testing:
Light smoker or single use - up to 3 days
Moderate use (4 x week) - 4 - 5 days
Heavy use (daily) - 10 days
Chronic heavy use - 20 - 28 days (some tests up to 36 days)
Hope this helps.

As little as a couple days or as long as a couple months it depends on how much you smoke. If you need to know for a drug test there are things to help you pass without worrying...

Depends on how frequently you indulge. About a week for one time use, up to a month with habitual use.
