how do i call a phone number plus the extension number?

example: 123-4566 ext. 345
tell me how to dial it?

when u dial the number it should ask u for an extension # and then dial the extension #

you dial 123-4566, wait to be instructed or asked for the extension number and dial 345.

Dial 123-4566 and then ask for extension 345; or some switchboards are automated with digital voices etc. which then asks for you to dial extension number.......... dial 345 and there you are.
