Weight is always a factor. Some people who are overweight are self-conscious, shy or can be overly comedic (trying to be the funny person everyone will like, even if laughing at himself). Some are depressed due to their weight (or what caused the weight gain) and others are just plain miserable. I have found that a person's personality is the most important when meeting someone, whether thin or thick, and the way they present themselves with confidence and caring of others.
I myself am overweight (due to a medical problem in the last few years). WOW, what a difference in the way I am perceived by some. I am the same confident, friendly person (a skinny person in a fat body) but meeting new people has opened my eyes. Most respond to my cheeriness, but a few of the men would NEVER consider dating me. They don't know what they are missing!! I feel these judgmental people are the losers, not me!! I am a terrific friend and girlfriend. My weight may change, my looks may decline or improve, but the innate ugliness of some people will never go away. Feel sorry for them! Just be yourself and the right girl will come along. Also work on what caused you to gain the weight in the first place. YOU will feel better for YOURSELF

No, not so much. Some women like overweight men because they might have a good personality. The body should mean little on both ends but it does help to have somewhat of a physical attraction. Not all women look at the body for a partner or spouse.

Everything has an impact on any relationship, or potential relationship. The secret, however, is to learn to love yourself, to accept yourself as you are, without judgment. You are your own best friend. If you are tall or short, fat or thin, you are still you; and the essence of who you are is not your size but your heart and how you use it. So love yourself, be comfortable with yourself, regardless of how you might look, and if you can feel comfortable with yourself, you will be comfortable with others...and that is something girls really like.

I agree with the poster who said people look for similar body types. For myself I am fit, in fact you might call me a "gym rat" and my wonderful hubby is a uber hot military man, so of course he's in great shape. I wouldn't date an unfit person. Our lifestyles would never mesh.

Most people realisitcally want to date someone with a similar body type to their own. So just go for girls in similar shape to yourself.

the biggest factor in almost everything is confidence. if you aren't confident...why would you you get picked? you can do anything if you beleive in yourself.
your confidence shows through your personality. you don't want to walk around like you are conceited or anything but don't act like you hate your fat. love it and yourself!!
