I've been thru something really similar, and I am sympathize with you.
I hope you were not taking the antibiotics to try to get rid of it, because that is what is weakening your immune system. Yeast free diet- I hope is what you meant.
Anyways, what I did was I started to take acidophilus tabs, the more live cultures the better, at times I even inserted the gel caplets into my vagina, then I found AZO Yeast I started taking that daily at times 2-3 pills a day, I was getting relief, but not complete relief. What finally helped was seeing an acupuncturist, he helped put my body back in wack. The biggest thing is throw away the creams (monistat, vagisil) NEVER EVER douche, to help ease the itch, I started using vagisil lubricant- it's easier on the area (I think) and Garlic it's a natural antibiotic, and the most effective treatment is taking a clove of fresh garlic, slicing off a part of it and inserting it directly into the vagina, it does burn but it does help, if your infection is really bad do it for a few nites at bedtime just like you would a cream. Avoid sugar as well!
I hope this helps.

I used to have that problem. I was even given allergy injections for these infections (they were useless). As other people have said antibiotics cause problems.
The yeast can encapsulate a bacteria and when you kill the yeast the bacteria are released and you get a repeat bacterial infection. Then you treat the bacteria and the yeast have a field day because the good as well as bad bacteria have been killed (except for the few that have been encapsulated by the yeast.) Then it starts all over again like a ping-pong ball going back and forth and back and forth.
The only thing that stopped this nightmare (yeast infections so bad that I would bleed) was the Yeast Syndrome Diet. It is extremely low carb and not very healthy otherwise. However, 3 days of plain yogurt, protein from meat, and only dark green vegies and my infection cleared.
If I get any hint of an infection again. I cut all carbs except those from yogurt and dark green vegies. It works every time. If I take antibiotics, I cut all sugar out completely until the course of antibiotics is over.
Acupuncture can also definitely help balance the body after the assault of antibiotics and subsequent yeast infections. Also, good vitamin supplementation is important as well...the diet itself is unbalanced and your body needs extra vitamins when it is trying to heal.

It sounds to me like you have a yeast overgrowth. You should be on a yeast free diet and take supplements to remove the candida yeast from your body. Something else you should look into is what is called the HOPE Formula for digestive health. Those antibiotics you have been taking have killed off all the good bacteria in your body, which causes alot of health problems and makes the yeast problem worse. I dont think there are any tests to take. You should be able to tell if you are feeling better or your doctor can test you. Here are a few websites you definetely need to check out.

If it is a food allergy it is very important that the only thing she gets to eat is the prescribed food by the veterinarian. A true food trial lasts for 8 weeks, with the dog eating NOTHING but what the dr. prescribed. Even if she gets 1 kibble of cat food or one potato chip you have to start all over again. It is also possible that she has an autoimmune disease. If that is the case the steroids are only making it worse as steroids suppress the bodys immune system. My dog has an autoimmune disease that was not correctly diagnosed until she was almost 4 years old. She had all the same symptoms and even worse than your dog. I am a veterinary technician and have worked in a veterinary clinic seeing dogs every day for the last 10 years. and I had NEVER seen a dog with an autoimmune disorder until my dog was diagnosed. The only reason she was diagnosed is because our small animal vet was on vacation and we hired a relief vet that had just moved to our area to fill in. Pinnie was having a bad time of it and I brought her in for a fresh set of eyes. You need to have some bloodwork done and keep her on the food the dr. prescribed (and ONLY the food the dr. prescribed).

First of all, the antibiotics are actually bad for yeast infections, as they kill your natural "good" bacteria that keep such infections at bay.
My take:
Reduce your carbohydrate intake as much as tolerable, no sugary foods or softdrinks.
Stay with the herbal pills if they have compounds that are antifungal.
Begin taking a supplement called probiotics, which contain natural healthy bacteria that will help your system restore itself.
Once your infections become resolved, regularily consume active yogurt to keep your body "flora" correct.

Have you had your blood checked for diabetes? That happens a lot to diabetics. If you don't know for sure that your not diabetic then you need to have it checked. It is not expensive.
Also, have you tried eating yogert? No flavors, just plain. It will take a couple of months to work. Also, buttermilk will help.
First I would have the sugar checked.

How often have you had sex in the last 4 years? Some women get yeast infections from too much sex.
