Of course not. You may just need the right therapy or medication to get you back on track. Good luck.

I hope you are getting treatment! If not go and see your GP and ask for the support you need.
You are not a bad person! You are a person with an illness, you have it unwillingly. No-one wants to be ill! you are still the soul of the party underneath the recluse,
Yes it's hard to get back but with help and determination you can find a way to climb that hill.
I don't know what condition you may have but depression is obviously part of it and that I do know about.
Been there, done that, got the T-shirt and its now a duster!
Find something positive in your life if you can. It needn't be a big thing just remember it when the going gets tough.
Get help and get well! Good luck to you.

Being ill doesn't make you a bad person. I bet you wouldn't ask that question if you had broken your leg, or if you had pneumonia or something.

There is such stigma attached to mental illness and there shouldn't be. It is just another illness. I think it is just because people don't understand it.

If you are not already, then you should talk to your Psychiatrist. Therapy and the right medication will get you well again and you will return stronger. You will be the life and soul of the party again!

Best of luck.

Your not a bad person cause you suffer from severe mental illness, but in your eyes that is the way you are seeing yourself, and you are tearing yourself down, and becoming a recluse cause you don't know what others think of you. plus you have conviced yourself that you are not as good as they are any more, and that they will judge you and laugh at you. You need to go and work this out with an professional, cause you can be the light of any party any day. you can get back up there, and say hay it is still the same ole me. Instead it sounds like you are pushig yourself away from your friends, and being a recluse cause that is what is comfortable for you right now, so go get some professional help, and get that self esteem of yours back up there. Quit putting yourself down, that is not doing you any good at all. Yes it is hard to get back, but if you don't keep at it then you will just allow yourself to go down even more, and you really don't want that , believe me, i have been there one to many times myself. If you can not do it alone, go and get the help, and get back to your ole self. best of luck to you, now go and get some help with this. cause you can do it, and yes it is not easy, but it is worth doing it anyway.

YOUR NOT A BAD PERSON!!! I have suffered from mental illness since I was 11! I had a hard time transitioning into certain things, but It'll get better! I used to be in your boat, and I closed myself up, and I lost everything. You have a choice either dig deeper down or lift yourself up and out! I work with a therapist and a psychiatrist, plus go to a DBT group. Look into something like that, and there are some programs out there that cater to people with mental illness and try to get them back up on their feet! If you are from N.Y. State there are a couple AWESOME PROGRAMS! I haven't had a good work history, and they got me into a supported work environment that caters to people with mental illness(EVERYONE that works there has some type of Mental Illness)

first of all get that negative thought out of your mind, your right it is hard to heal from a mental illness your brain controls everything so if its not working right than you of course aren't either, don't put yourself down, keep telling yourself positive things about yourself everyday and try to get put on a medication that will help when you suffer a mental illness you don't have enough neurotonin in your brain the medicine will help regulate that and theres millions of people that go through this so don't put yourself down because you are. GOOD LUCK and take care of yourself

You are not a bad person. Mental illness affects most people at some time in their lives. Don't be afraid to seek professional help, it is not a weakness and it is not your fault. There is no shame and much gain to be had, even if you have to take some medication for a short time, or go to therapy. You ARE a valuable individual, please try to help yourself. All the very best.

NO you're not, I am sorry you feel you're going down hill but be optimistic, the old saying seeing the bottle half full is true. When you look at a rose, you don't look at the thorns but you look at the beautiful flower, look at yourself this way & appreciaate the child of God that you are. Sometimes in life we have our downs, but it doesn't mean it'll always be this way, it's just a phase & you'll soon be the life of the party again!

Hi there

You're not a bad person at all!

To help you with the way you're feeling, you need to get to the root of what is causing you to feel reclusive. You might know already and just need to look at things in a different way.

When we have fears of certain things, we worry about what might happen. We worry about what might happen in front of people.

What may well of happened (I don't know your exact situation) is that something has happened and now you're dwelling on that, fearing that it will happen again. Maybe you're thinking too much about the things you say. Like I say, I don't know you're exact situation.

The important thing to remember is that things don't necessarily happen again. Live in the moment without thinking too much about the future and fearing what might happen. Because, if you think about it, what's the point in worrying about thongs that haven't happened yet?!

If you feel fearful in front of someone, don't hold onto it. When we fear things, we tend to hold onto things. Don't hold onto it, don't even try and fight it, just let it come, don't dwell on it, don't focus on it, don't fight it, just let it come and it will pass.

I will also say that there is no right or wrong way to be in front of people. People are different, from the way we look to our opinions. So the most important thing is to be yourself, without thinking too much about what other people are thinking of you because what makes other people right and you wrong?

I hope the advice I've given helps. You might also benefit from hypnotherapy which could help you get to the root of why you're feeling reclusive and help you to deal with certain situations. You can get it at your local complimentary medicine centre. Here, they will also have other therapies which you feel you might benefit from.

All the best
